Wholeness is a fleeting, hopeful thought
Just as agreement is unheard of,
Just as compromise is set out to rot,
And stability is as far-fetched as love.

Tears spill between scales and mouth and ears,
Leaving ugly streaks down the side.
The eyes shed none, but take on a hostile leer
While the mouth cries in despair of lies.

Skin will glow and gleam,
As eyes will flicker and spark
Magic tears at earthly seams,
While sorrow rips at heart.

In the core still sits a solid form
Of power, force, everlasting,
A thing of mighty lore
Trapped within a warring being.
