Having been raised in the Fishspine Reef, Marinus was expected to learn the ways of water. But young Marinus was not able to learn the magic of the currents. Instead, he took an interest to the skies. Each night, he would draw maps of the stars. Overtime, he slowly built up journals full of these drawings. His parents could see just how talented he was, and knowing he was not destined for the path of the seas, they sent him off to study under some of the highest arcanists they knew. He spent much of his time learning of the universe under these wise dragons. He was even allowed to observe the stars in the observatory. After he completed his studies, he decided it was time to find a family to live with among the arcanists. He missed his old clan, but knew he was destinied for greatness if he stayed on the Starfall Isles. He came in contact with a small clan of other dragons of various backgrounds.
