B I O G R A P H Y
Early in life Orome was born into a new thriving wind clan. His father, Lorien, was one of the leaders and he was part of the last clutch they had in the clan's hay day. He has several other siblings who remained in the clan that he was being compared to. Even his clutch sister, Nienna, was a much more active and promising hatchling than he was and he felt the burden of living up to his siblings. Even as a young hatchling he was already lanky and resources in the clan were already becoming scarce. every dragon had to pull their weight or else they were being a burden to the clan and Orome keenly felt the stress of his situation. Over time the clan started to grow weaker and weaker which affected how the dragons functioned together. The stress of it all weighed heavily on Orome who couldn't help but feel like he was nothing but a burden. This was compounded by his reoccurring magical outbursts which often destroyed property the clan vitally needed to conserve. he felt trapped inside their weakening clan, unable to find the strength to leave but finding it unbearable to stay. |

Orome couldn't bring himself to be taken to another clan. He was ashamed of himself and still felt like he was just a burden to whatever clan he was in, including the laughing jackals. Bonebraid, however greedy, was no heartless monster. She observed Orome and determined that he had quite a bit of potential and managed to convince him to at least talk to the clan leader asking to join the clan officially. During the meeting Bonebraid talked up his considerably natural prowess in wind magic. Willenheist was intrigued by his raw capabilities and the two convinced him that strong magicians were an asset to them and they were more than willing to help polish his rough uncontrollable powers to be a shining gemstone. Orome was hesitant to believe them but let a glimmer of hope shine through just enough to accept their offer to join the Sleeping Jackals. For the first few months of his transition into their clan life Orome clung to Bonebraid like glue. He felt like she was someone who he could trust and all the other dragons in comparison were frightening strangers. Bonebraid was a good sport about it all and even took care of him, trying to help him feel more comfortable and get settled in. It mostly worked but after a while he fell back into his old habit of locking himself away in his room so he rarely had any friends. This changed however when a young guardian known as Milik forced her friendship upon him. She was born with an extreme talent for Ice magic but unlike him she had learned to control it immediately. Her strong confident personality was the polar opposite of Orome's and so he found herself often getting swept up into her pace. She managed to convince him, despite his doubts, to let her teach him how to control his magic. the two of them discovered that the link to his wind magic outburst was tied to how he hyperventilated whenever he had a panic attack tied to him bottling up his magic at all other times. Slowly Milik is leading him through the baby steps of trying to gain control and even master his abilities. |
