 The Lightweaver came into being already aggrieved by the chaos that tore across Sornieth as a consequence of her elders' wars. She thought about peace ... about the things that would invite it, engender it, ensure it. By the time ages had passed and the Pillar had been formed and shattered, the Lightweaver had matured and her understanding of peace had grown more complex. But the thoughts of a young dragon don't ever really disappear from an older one ... even a deity.

When the shattering of the Pillar created the Flights, something of those optimistic thoughts showered into the world, and from the mud of calamity arose something richer. Darker. Sweeter?

The Poisoned Malts animated from the thoughts of the young Lightweaver about the sorts of things that might bring about the peace for which she longed. A cold drink to cool the blood. A pleasant treat over which combatants could sit and talk. A drop of something toxic to end the struggle, replacing strife with calm, a sleepy gentleness beneath the radiance of the sun ...

As one might expect from their origins in naive hopes and innocent plans, quickly shoved aside by harsh realities, the Poisoned Malts are champion nappers and great sharers of treats. They can be remarkably persuasive with a flair for sweet words, but their moral outlook tends to absolutes.
