Biography
Constance beloved of d'Artagnin
To say she was happy to be out from under the claws of her parents would be an understatement. They had kept her in the lair long past the time she should have left, all because she’d been stupid enough to tell them her suspicions about who her charge might be. Oh their clan dealt with beastmen, but her parents had always been grudging about it. But what the leaders did and what their own daughter did were two different things apparently. So what if her charge was a beastclan member? It was her charge and that is all that mattered to her, that was all they’d taught her should matter. It was their own fault if they didn’t like it.
She didn’t show any of her worry though, that they might be somewhat right. That her charge might hate her for being a dragon. There were rumors and horror-stories told in the dead of night about charges who rejected their Guardians for one reason or another. It usually never ended well, usually it ended with death for either the charge or the Guardian. Then again she’d also heard terrible legends about Guardians who’d let themselves do terrible things in the names of their charges. Or, Tide and Glade forgive her, be the charge and Guardian of another Guardian. Those tales ended with them being so wrapped up in each other that they’d died from not being able to look away from one another long enough to eat, drink or sleep. Well, at least that was one thing she didn’t have to worry about. She just prayed to her deities that fate was kind to her in this.
