Alina traveled from a Light clan called The Pretty Clan. The two clans have known each other for a while, and had communicated quite a bit. So when the Pretty Clan contacted Fortis asking if they had room for one more, Fortis was happy to accept.

Since Alina was still a hatchling, an older dragon named Blossom accompanied her on the journey to her new home. Not wanting to make Blossom make the full journey (which was quite long, mind you), Fortis sent LavyBaby to meet them half-way.

Luckily, LavyBaby had come from that clan as well, so she knew her way. Alina was quite nervous throughout her flight to the mid-way point, and Blossom was unable to calm her.

She didn't know where she was going, and she definitely didn't know what it would be like. Alina was sure her clan wouldn't give her away to some brute-ish bunch, but still. When they arrived to their destination, Alina was surprised when Blossom actually seemed to know the other clan's dragon.

Upon being introduced, Alina found herself calming just a little. She was glad that LavyBaby had come from the same clan as her, surely that meant this new clan was good. Alina was still extremely nervous, though.

On the way to her new home, LavyBaby spoke to the young hatchling, asking her random questions. They had to take quite a few breaks, as Alina's wings got tired easily, and once or twice she found her breakfast and pre-flight snack making a reappearance after her anxieties overwhelmed her.

But LavyBaby stayed by her side and comforted her throughout it.

Alina looked at the large purple dragon flying by her side, her eyes were pink unlike Alina's own yellow orbs.

LavyBaby, the purple dragon, glanced over at Alina and smiled, noticing the hatchling staring at her.

"Are you alright?" her soft, warm voice seemed to flutter over to Alina's ears, perhaps carried by the breeze around them. It occurred to her that the breeze may be the only reason she could hear LavyBaby's words, as she was very quiet.

Alina gave a little nod, looking away. She focused on pumping her wings up and down. "M-May we take a break, L-LavyBaby?"

She could have sworn she heard the Skydancer giggle, but she couldn't be sure as the two began to slowly dive down. LavyBaby landed gracefully, clearly having plenty of practice. Alina, on the other claw, ended up tumbling into a roll, coming to a stop in a bush.

Alina felt dizzy as she shakily stood up, climbing out of the large bush.

"L-LavyBaby? What is this.. New clan like?" her tiny voice cracked as she spoke, looking over to the dragon she knew she could trust. If Blossom trusted her, then she could as well, she was sure.

"The Moon-Leaf Clan is a wonderful place. It's very calm and serene; it's kinda small right now, but the clan leaders are wonderful. Fortis and Tiant are the leaders. Actually, the name of the clan came from how they met."

"Can.. You tell me more about them..?" Alina hesitantly asked, walking over on shaky legs.

"Of course," LavyBaby smiled a the young hatchling as she sat down before continuing, "Fortis is a fae, so it's kind of hard to tell her emotions. Don't be frightened by that emotionless voice, though. Fortis is extremely caring. Actually, she's the Peacekeeper of the clan."

"She is?" Alina gasped, staring up at LavyBaby with wide eyes. She, too, sat down, her tail wrapping around her as she waited for the story.

LavyBaby gave a nod, "Mhmm. And her mate, Tiant, is a Guardian. He came from a clan of warrior Guardians, but as it died out he realized he had wanted to settle down. So, when he met Fortis, a tiny little Fae, barely able to keep her eyes open from exhaustion, he saw the perfect opportunity to do just that. They cleared some land, fell in love, and have been together every since."

"Awwww..." Alina crooned, grinning. That sounded so adorable!

"A day or two later, three dragons from a clan far away in the shadows appeared. They were scared and homeless. A power struggle forced them from their once peaceful clan. Fortis and Tiant were happy to offer the three a place to stay, and in fact, at this point, had five eggs in a nest."

Alina felt her heart beat slowing to a normal rate as she listened, laying down a bit to rest some more as she listened.

"Among the three was a beautiful Fae named Viriya, a quiet Coatl named Orasil who wouldn't speak, and a grey and pink Skydancer named Nuvola. It turned out the reason Orasil wouldn't speak was because he was upset- when he had fled, his mate, another Coatl named Dapras, had stayed behind."

"Oh no.." Alina gasped, feeling sad for the dragon she didn't even know. She wasn't very old, she didn't know much, but she felt like it must really hurt to not know if your mate is alive...

"Then one day, Dapras appeared. It was a miracle he had made the trip, let alone even found Orasil, but they whole clan was happy for them. They ended up throwing a party to celebrate the reunion of the two Coatls."

"That's really nice.." Alina mumbled, stretching her wings out.

"Yeah... It was sometime that same day, before the party I think, that I arrived. I was actually thinking of passing through, I didn't want to be a bother, but Fortis insisted I stay, so there I was. It was a day or two later that four of her eggs went missing. We all searched everywhere, but we couldn't find them... There was no sign of them being rolled away or taken, it was like they'd simply vanished."

Alina couldn't help the gasp she made- that was horrible!

"But, the one egg was there, and we watched it carefully. Then one day, it hatched, and Urie, a Guardian like her father, came out. About three days later, Orasil and Dapras found a Pearlcatcher in the woods. They couldn't find parents or a clan that it belonged to, so they brought it back to the Moon-Leaf clan and raised him as their own. Since Orasil and Dapras are both males, they couldn't actually have hatchlings of their own, and both of them had wanted to raise a dragon with the other. They named him Flint, and he grew up with Urie. The two of them are mates now, actually."

"Really??" Alina grinned as she sat up, her yellow eyes sparkling with interest. LavyBaby nodded, standing up.

"Now, are you all rested up? It shouldn't be too much longer and we'll have arrived."

Alina paused for a moment, standing up. She stretched her wings again before nodding, and giving a few quick flaps. It took her a few moments, but she eventually managed to lift herself up into the air.

As the two began their flight once more, Alina found herself feeling much calmer now that she'd been told about the clan. She was nervous to meet everybody, but she was otherwise fine.
