Early Years

Devan never knew a parent, orphaned like many others relying on each other in the Nature Flight, looking up to the Gladekeeper. Shevana, a Mirror dragoness, was his closest companion. An orphan like himself. She became his companion in childhood and adolescence. Starting out with Devan as he sought his dream of a large, loving clan. His own chosen family.

However, where Devan was open, trusting and restless... Shevana was stoic, withdrawn and standoffish. Prideful and devoted to the Gladekeeper, she yearned to join the good fight. Devan had her in his life for a short time, having a son together, then... Then Devan let her go. Keeping their son to raise as Shevana left to join the ranks of the Exalted Nature Flight.

Expansion

Life without Shevana would have been lonely if not for his Clan and Family. They were his saving grace. Chief among them were the first to join Devan and Shevana; Gardenia and Anafiel. The Skydancer and Guardian females. They would not only become Devan’s closest friends, but also his lovers. Their Clan expanded slowly at first. Some staying only for a time before moving on, never to be forgotten.

Then Carolina came into his life. In her Devan found not just a friend or a lover, but someone to step up into the position that Shevana had left vacant. But where Shevana filled the spot at Devan’s side out of a sense of obligation to her childhood friend and occasional lover, Carolina became the Clan Mother. Together they really built their Clan.

The Change

Change is a hard thing to agree on, especially in a Clan of any good size, and the LuckyOwl Clan was of a good size. The decision was a hard one. Devan felt restless in the Gladekeeper’s domain. Soon it became obvious that many others felt the restlessness. Then there came the young ones. They were a band of misfits and they espoused ideals that left their kids freedoms others did not allow the young. Freedoms to experience life and grow. This led to harmless mischief, but it was still ill recieved by most.

When talks of moving their Clan started, they began to discuss where to. It was no easy choice. Wind Flight was decided on because that Flight alone espoused ideals and tempraments that fit the best with their Clan. Sure, it wasn’t a change welcomed by all… but it was made nonetheless.

The Tavern

Settling in the lands of the Wind Flight, the Clan began to flourish. Eventually they created the tavern Flight of Fancy. Anafiel’s Mate, Shadowkiss, took on the reigns of barkeep and generally keeping the place running. Everyone else helping to serve and do the various chores needed to keep it running.

Because of the vast range of dragons in the Clan this led the tavern to becoming a melding of drink, food, social interaction, a meeting place, information hub… a place where money would change hands, deals to be made, all under the agreement no violence would happen within. If it did there were the fighters of the clan to toss you out, and some of the more… stealthy of their number to step in if absolutely necessary.

If you hear some explosions though, or a random storm come to life outside? No worries, the alchemist, mages or druids are just practicing their craft. Feel free to join them in the detached building out back and to the left. Or in the tree grove nearby. Which ever place they may be.

Magic and the mystical arts not your speed? To the right you will see the training yards. From warriors to archers, rangers or even assasins, you will not be disappointed.
