Once, Power was known as the son of Sloan and Elizabeta. Now, he has been reduced to nothing, much like the clan his parents once led.
Chronos conquered the clan when Power was still young, just barely out of his hatchling years. Desperate to save themselves and the clan they loved so dearly, Sloan and Elizabeta offered their son to Chronos as a bargaining chip, allowing him to take the young Skydancer as a slave. Power tried to fight back, but despite his desperate efforts, he was captured and placed in heavy chains. The weight eventually caused him to collapse, and he was thrown onto some uncaring dragon’s back as Chronos and his troops took to the skies.
Power was trained to tend to Chronos’ every need and was expected to care for him at all hours. He was utterly miserable under Chronos- he desperately missed his clan, and thought of nothing but escaping and getting revenge on those who had confined him to such a pitiful life. Unfortunately, no opportunity for escape arose, and Power spent most of his days seething under a veil of perfect obedience. He could only take solace in his familiar, a Storm Seeker, which had accompanied him to High Arcana.
After Odin and Ymir had overthrown Chronos, Power had hoped they would have taken pity on him and set it free, but the new leaders of High Arcana paid no attention to their newfound slave. If anything, Power’s life grew even more depressing- he now had two dragons to tend to instead of one.
However, despite his ever-growing list of duties, Power still found time to devote to his craft. One of his aforementioned duties was disposing of unsavory characters within the clan, and Power excelled at crafting poisons. His mastery went unnoticed by his masters, but they caught the attention of Seth.
Seth freed Power, realizing that the Skydancer’s talent would be immensely useful to his cause. However, Seth hadn’t expected Power to fly into a murderous rage the moment he was freed, taking his rage out on the nearest target- Sunsteel, who ultimately survived his poisoning. Once Power realized he had failed, he fled to Low Arcana with Seth.
Since his release from his life of servitude, Power spends the majority of his days near Seth, terrorizing Low Arcana's various inhabitants under Seth’s command. Freedom has yet to improve his mood- the Skydancer is still rather quiet, only partially because of the smoke that lingers around him, which has made speaking rather distasteful. Power only comes to life in the presence of Seth, who he cares for above all else. When not in his presence, Power is silent and immensely cold hearted, caring for nothing except himself and the Coatl he is so utterly devoted to. He spends a lot of his time lost in thought, and is immensely hesitant to put himself or Seth in a position where they could be exposed to danger.
[CHORUS]
The smoke is thick,
The darkness deep
Can you hear him coming?
If you can, too late
The night is near,
The light is dear,
Can you, can you–
Too late
[BRIDGE]
Power, power, subtle power
Powder, poison, inhalation, toxin
Power, power, murderous power
[CHORUS x 2]
[FINAL]
Hush, hush, he’s–
Too late
