Biography
A D R A N U S do you wish to enter? ~ The Gatekeeper quiet • introverted • inquisitive |
BIOGRAPHY. Known as the Clan’s volcano Gatekeeper, Adranus was born blind - though, it certainly hasn’t stopped him in his line of work. The cover over his eyes grants him immense power in exchange for his sight, bestowed upon him after emerging from his egg. But, his supposed ‘power’ isn’t exactly what the average dragon would expect. Due to his blindness, Adranus was naturally ensured the enhancement of his remaining senses; those who believe he’s helpless are often proven wrong, even in the most embarrassing of ways. Adranus is just as capable as his clanmates of completing general tasks - however, his sense of smell has been described as extraordinary. His curse of blindness was granted the blessing of a nose fit for a bloodhound, and the ability to identifying each of his fellow dragons by their unique scent, quicker and much easily than his clanmates. This allows him to hold tight onto his role as the Gatekeeper, as it’s his duty to allow or turn away dragons that wish to climb the volcano. Anyone who tries to sneak past him, in hopes of gaining access to the secretive digging site are proven a fool for underestimating his enhanced sense of smell, and promptly sent away. Adranus takes his job quite seriously, and despite his overall quiet, introverted nature, he knows when to put his foot down and turn even the most curious dragon away. Not a single dragon has managed to sneak their way past Adranus, and he certainly intends to keep it that way for as long as possible. TRIVIA. • Born blind • Very loyal • Loves soft things |
The Bogsneak, renowned for his abilities to keep strangers from entering his area, turned suddenly towards a shuffling in the bushes. A quick whiff and there was no doubt in his mind about it being a stranger dragon, His tongue flickered out as he near the bush in question. Something was off; something wasn't quite right about his suspicions. Baring his pearly whites in preparation to ward off the offender and he swatted the foliage away. The whimpers coming from the creature on the ground were far too small for them to be coming from an adult dragon, He stopped baring his teeth and lightly flicked his tongue at the young one. Adranus knew his duty was to keep strange dragons away, however... He turned away from the child. Adranus returned shortly and sensed the hatchling still there, probably too scared to move. He lightly dropped a piece of jerky on the ground before standing at his post once again. He heard shuffling again. The small creature slowly inched closer to him. By the time an actual member of their clan came by, the hatchling was curled up to him for warmth, asleep and content. It was a mighty strange sight for the returning member, however, they promised to take care of the child. The only response he gave was a nod of approval, though he was happy to know the child was in good hands. By Longlivemydragon (126663) |
