No one is entirely sure who Shalia is or where she comes from. By her own words, she used to be a lone Shadow dragon, who lived in the swamps of the Shadowbinder's domain. One day, she was swimming in muddy waters that turned her very sick indeed. Following the waters, she learned that they had been polluted by the alchemical cauldron of a clan.

Ill and in great pain, Shalia swam towards cleaner waters, sometimes sleeping for days as the sickness took hold of her. By the time she reached Water, she was not the dragon she used to be. She was an entirely new kind of breed, and everywhere she went, clans feared her or turned her away. Finally, she came upon the Silence Clan. Shalia had lost her ability to speak in the process of her transformation, and the clan took this disability as a blessing rather than a curse.

Shalia stayed in the Silence Clan. Here, she quickly began using her skills as a shaman and healer to help those who are sick or injured, remembering far too well her own pain and illness. She is very adept with natural medicines, and unconventional healing magic. Shalia is a very gentle soul with a maternal heart, and she will help you get well, whether you feel like you need her help or not. Despite her quietness, she is definitely a resolute dragon, and all the other dragons in the clan are hers to take care of.
