Earth dragons are known for being the closest to their ancestors. They are strong and durable just like the ground they walk upon, but there was one young dragon, a Skydancer, that was a bit out of the loop. She wasn’t really an outcast, no, but she didn’t quite fit in with the rest of her clan. Her clan was nomadic, traveling the lands of the Earthshaker but never leaving his domain. The young Skydancer, who was granted the name of Sage, was always curious about the world outside of the Earthshaker’s domain. As she grew older she grew all the more rebellious. Sage would leave the group at night and explore on her own, never going too far, always returning right before dawn. Every night she did this, her mind growing all the more distracted with thoughts of freedom and exploration instead of thoughts about the ancestors. Sage, since she could remember, knew she did not truly fit in with her nomadic Earth clan, so one night she left, and she never returned.
Listening to the tugging in the pit of her stomach, Sage headed for the Starfall Isles. She hadn’t been in the area for long when she ran into a purple-scaled male Fae named Juniper. While erratic and spontaneous, he was very wise and knew so many uses of magic. Instantly Sage connected with Juniper and vice versa; Sage took the young Skydancer under his wing and taught her the ways of magic and the stars. This was what Sage had wanted to learn about since the beginning. She was a very fast learner, and before Juniper knew it, Sage was learning even more spells than he knew. She was far more in tune with the magic than thought possible; with Juniper unable to teach her new magic, he decided to let her try a new skill he had somewhat mastered - alchemy. And just like with magic, Sage learned that just as fast.
An experienced magic user and alchemist, Sage decided it was time for a change. She felt as if her name, the name given to her by her Earth clan, no longer fit. She took on the name of Liberty as she felt free from what she had been hatched into, and liberated into the world of the Arcanist. In celebrating her new name and celebrating what she had been destined to do, Liberty tried something that most would think of as foolish - she summoned the large creature known as the Crowned Roc. In summoning the creature a bond was formed and instantly the two became almost inseparable, a feat not common at all.
Liberty had been living in the Starfall Isles for quite a while without anything eventful happening; that was changed on a day when she was out gathering some much needed items from an experiment. She was simply minding her own business when she was suddenly rammed into by another Skydancer and his turkey. This was certainly something that Liberty had not expected, but she found it interesting enough to shake it off and see what this male Skydancer was all about. He introduced himself as Freedom and his turkey as Patriot. Almost as soon as Freedom regained himself, he began to tell Liberty all about his clan back in the Southern Icefields. At first Liberty was not interested, wanting to stay in the land of the Arcanist with Juniper. But eventually, Freedom rubbed off on her. He stayed in the Starfall Isle with her for months, and within those months, the two actually fell in love. While Liberty loved living with Juniper, she now had a reason to follow Freedom and head to the Southern Icefields. Now Liberty was excited to travel to a new area and to perhaps teach her new mate and his clanmates the ways of magic and alchemy.
The clan was, of course, very welcoming to Liberty. She felt quite welcomed and glad to be apart of such a clan, especially one that was lead by a dragon of the land she found who she truly was.
Liberty had been part of the clan for a while when something strange happened. On her regular visit to Baldwin’s, she noticed something was off about the old Pearlcatcher. He seemed to no longer be a Pearlcatcher; Liberty knew dragons could change, but she had never really noticed such a breed before. … And that’s when she got curious. Liberty was the first to change herself into the new breed. She soon began to change a few of her clanmates - they were willing to try her experiment out - and brought the Bogsneak mutagen into Skylight clan.

Liberty, like her Fae mentor, is a very erratic dragon. She does things randomly, never going in a certain pattern or path. Spontaneous is what some might call her - what everybody would call her, really. She doesn’t do what is “normal” of her, doing as she pleases. This has lead her to become quite the stubborn thing as well as being curious. Her own thing involves going about and exploring, learning about new things and finding new tools to get her claws on. Her stubborn and curious nature is what lead her to being so good at what she does - she was too mule-headed to stop learning and advancing, and she was too curious for her own good and wouldn’t stop learning new things. Her stubborn nature and her curiosity can very easily get the best of her, as it can any dragon, but Liberty is a swell dragon on her own and is a very welcomed member of the Skylight clan no matter her ways.
