Kiririn was born to a noble but poor family, and in order to create connections
her family sent her to be a play companion and eventual lady-in-waiting to a daughter of another, much more well off family. Young and scared as she was she immediately took liking to Schedar and work never felt like a chore to her, not for a single moment.

She was Schedar's confidante when her painting hobby turned more serious, and the person who took care of the practical side of things when she started to exhibit and sell those paintings in secret. To keep Schedar's identity hidden she became the face of Arione the painter for anyone who needed to see her.

Schedar asked Kiririn to come with her as a friend after she became mated with Alnair. She agreed but would not become dependent, trying to still be as useful to her former mistress as she could. When Alshain was born she took on the roles of teacher and caretaker for the boy, finally feeling more equal to Schedar and like she was earning her keep.
