Biography
________Rohftet _____Dark Magician "ROE-f-tet-" Oldest of Vela's students because all of his life, Rohftet refused Vela's call. You see, Rohftet deals in the dark arts, the more taboo side of magic. He isn't malicious though, he isn't one to create mayhem and carnage. But those who do trespass against him face a fate worse than death. His punishments varied in severity depending on the act committed against him. A scavenging beast after his food rations is just scared off by harmless, albeit painful, bursts of dark lightning. While someone's betrayal after his very seldom given trust was placed, will be torn apart for millions of years inside their own minds while vultures pick out their still moving eyes. Vela's pleas for Rohftet to come to him were treated at one point like a voice in his mind brought upon by psychosis. But as the years went on, it was decided that the voice was either Death calling him 'home', wherever that was, or the ghost of some poor soul who thought the best revenge would be to make Rohftet's mind a constant cluster of noise. Though, as time passed, it became only a dull roar above the rest of his thoughts. But then, some people came to where Rohftet had been sleeping by a river. They stomped out what remained of his campfire and told him that if there was someone who sought him out. Never one to argue against something that wasn't immediately interrupting a task or quest while having his curiosity piqued, Rohftet followed them. As they journeyed, he supposed the one who wanted to see him was a powerful ruler wanting to use his power for war or someone he'd hurt seeking revenge. Either way, it would be an entertaining chapter to log in his memories. Though, instead of a power-hungry king or an enraged widow, he found what he could only have thought to be seen through his imagination from reading an adventure story. Starpass was alive with color and magic, loosely flashing through the air like bullets or colored gas. It was overwhelming to be insultingly simple. Since arriving, Rohftet keeps mainly to himself but is always available when Vela asks him to listen in on his lectures and lessons. Now that he is a member of the clan, Vela's voice is no longer constant in his mind which leaves the Imperial rather restless when the world gets too quiet so he is more than ever deep in own magic and readings to try and fill the silence. |
