Tasked with healing and keeping his clanmates healthy. "I don't want anyone else but you." Usually described as a "nervous and stuttering mess", many clanmates don't know what to make of him. Vollenth is very active and energetic. He shares his piebald gene with his Imperial mother, and his breed, shimmer and basic genes, and plum color with his father. - Likes: Taking care of others, Hugging, Sleeping, Fabrics - Dislikes: Fighting, Terror, Lack of light - Secret(s): He tries to hide his feelings as hard as he can. - According to the Sornieth Floriography Guide, highland dryleaf stands for dedication. - His zeeba is named Grapevine. He likes to break items around Vollenth's home. - While not extremely well-versed in love, he loves Ryker. He tries to show him how much he loves him everyday. - He and Ryker adopted and raised Fuyu, who later grew to be a guard in the clan. - Vollenth relies on his speed and erratic fighting style to defend himself. He will refuse to fight unless it is to defend himself or someone else. - He spends a lot of time sleeping. - It is important to not bother Vollenth when he is concentrated or else it will suspend his concentration. - He practices medicine to keep himself occupied and so he can be of aid. - Vollenth loves collecting fabrics and cloth he finds beautiful. Ryker loves to surprise Vollenth with his favorite things such as fabrics and flowers. - He has PTSD, its source likely from his former clan that tended to abuse their young. - The most common things he sees in the clinic are sepsis and infections, results of war. - He may ask Valerie, a witchdoctor, for help sometimes, as she is great with herbal remedies. She boasts superior knowledge of teas and incenses. For example, mint tea can soothe stomachs. - While Seeker mostly prepares tonics, Vollenth knows how as well, but is much better at using magic and diagnosis. - His belt pockets contains some of his tools as well as the most crucial and common medical herbs. Origin Story Vollenth used to live in a clan much larger than his current one. They were one of strict codes and conduct. They would abuse their young, as they believed if you failed to survive their treatment, you weren't keeping around anyway. They specialized in raising hatchlings to become machines of war. Vollenth yearned for escape, fearful that he would eventually die. Struck by his urges, Vollenth would begin to explore the outskirts of his clan's borders. On one such exploration, he met Ryker. Ryker was a young Pearlcatcher, who lived in the middle of nowhere with his familiar. The two were fast friends. Their relationship would start simple, with lax questions about their days and interests. Ryker would ask him about clan life, Vollenth asked about how it was like living alone. This caused their conversations to become more intimate. Vollenth began to open up about his horrible home life and Ryker was always quick to console him. While Ryker seemed to keep his emotions under lock and key, he would still look to Vollenth for comfort. To Vollenth, going to visit him was like visiting a sanctuary. A temporary escape was better than none at all. One day, Ryker was struck with an amazing notion. He wanted to join a clan, but not alone. He wanted Vollenth to come with him. He was quick to agree, Ryker had opened a path to escape for him. So one night, Ryker snuck into his clan's lair and assisted him in escape. Ryker would escape with a few cuts and bruises defending Vollenth from guards. The two came across a clan in the land of fire. There, they met the Lavaburst Clan, still in the beginning of development. Vollenth's emphatic and sensitive side lead him to becoming their doctor.
