With the Matriarchs since the Hanging Gardens, when their trio was a quartet, Mandanu bears the scars and old habits of a life as a mercenary, his identity founded in his past as much as his friends' are. He perhaps mourned the Hearth a touch more than they, but he has flourished in the Fleche - and he's as determined as the Matriarchs to create a home in this far corner of Dragonhome. His vanity and love of comfrot hides a steeled will born of years in the desolate reaches of Sornieth - he moves easily in search of a home, taking everything and everyone he cares with him, on his back if need be, but he will not bend. And its best to remember that.

Respectfully titled Patriarch of Clan Berosos, Mandanu cares little for the title. Despite his shared long and colorful history with the Matriarchs, he still sees himself as their close confidant rather than a leader on their level - just as he likes it really. A loud dragon (of a sorts) with an imposing presence, Mandanu is often the first of the Clan's "leaders" who meets new and visiting dragons and beast clan, accidentally becoming the "face" of the Clan - a position he enjoys immensely. A fearsome mercenary in his youth, like Enten and Ninmah, he has grown far more used to the settled life than they, enjoying his personal comforts greatly and caring for his presentation in a way the Matriarchs tease him for but indulge him in with an affection born of a comradery only they can share. |

A calm dragon overall, not sarcastic like Enten, nor wrathful like Ninmah - rather, a simpler sort, he enjoys training new recruits in a more graceful style than Ninmah cares for, as much as he enjoys lounging in the Gardens with a fresh pot of tea and a good conversation. He makes for a wonderful sounding board, which the Matriarchs make good use of when discussing decisions for the Clan, and which the Clan as a whole have learned to make use of as well, for airing general grievances or just when they need a strong presence to chatter with. He is perhaps a little too informal to be a good choice to entertain visiting honored guests, and his propensity for gossip - not drama mind you - does make many new visitors wary of him for varying reasons, but, being slow to offense, Mandanu can often win over any he sets his mind to. |
