Biography
"Hey, hey, hey! Don't touch that! It's not done!"
Engineer, mechanic, tinkerer--if it has moving parts that a spark can set into motion, Alisanos is bound to want to take it apart, learn how it works, and reassemble it (only sometimes in the condition he'd found it in to begin with).
Alisanos, a wildclaw born in Wind territory, left his homeland in his adolescence, finding too little direction in the frolicking of his flightmates. He needed order and structure, something he found in exploring conductivity and magnetism when animating small mechanical dolls as a child, but for which the Wind flight had little interest. After making the crossing out of the Plateau, through the Highland Scrub, and across Carrion Canyon, Alisanos arrived on the Lightning Farm. Here, he spent the majority of his life bungling his way from one job to the next, his inborn playfulness a poor match for the methodical and punctual way of life he encountered there. Exceptionally bright and plenty crafty with his claws, Alisanos simply had the poor fortune of wanting to create newer, bigger, more impressive and more complicated mechanisms, even if it meant deviating from the instructions he was given. For him, it was a great joy to weld old parts into something new and functional, but his supervisors never seemed to share his enthusiasm and thirst for discovery.
After another sternly-worded warning and another dismissal shortly after, he finally chose to throw in the towel and return to the Windswept Plateau, now an older, wiser, more temperate adult. This is where the clan came across him. A bothersome sparkling stinger was the only issue he helped them with, a small issue in the grand scheme of things, until Alisanos approached Llydaw, recognizing her as a dragon of the Lightning flight. The meeting between two poles--a Lightning dragon who had moved to Shadow, and a Wind dragon who had sought out Lightning--went about as terribly as could be expected, until Cerydwen stepped in to quell their squabbling (or the squawking on Alisanos' part, and the pensive silence on Llydaw's).
Why he hasn't moved on since, even he doesn't know, but he's found a niche in this clan--after all, if he isn't around as clan engineer, then who of the Lightning flight would step up to the task? Llydaw?
Don't make him laugh.
