Biography
Adventurer || Rhoyne
Wayward and absent as he is, Rhoyne is a gentle soul. You can see it in the warmth of his eyes, or the way he cares for each of his natural born children, no matter where they hail from. He's a gift to the clan... now only if he'd stay.

-
Rhoyne was born to his clan through an arranged mating between Flacara and an imperial belonging to a foreign clan. His matching colors and genes were desired during Arx's rule, when she hoarded each and every color of dragon she could get her claws on. Young Rhoyne was the perfect specimen, hatched in the clan's fiery nests; he was complete with his mother's eyes and his father's colors. Flacara would dedicate her existence to raising the young pup, making her best attempt to shelter Rhoyne from Arx's slow spiral into insanity.
And Flacara was grateful for all the moments she spent with her son, for it wouldn't be long until Arx exiled the new mother, for fear she conspired to overthrow the queen. Flacara was not permitted to return to the clan until Arx was overthrown, and by then, her boy was grown. The two rejoiced when reunited, but Flacara noticed her son's eyes were not as bright as they once were.
It was soon explained to Flacara that Rhoyne would disappear from the clan's territory for days, weeks at a time. Rhoyne would not tell his mother what had happened during her absence. His mother oft worried for him, but that did not deter him from wandering further each venture. Flacara could not convince her wayward son to bind himself to the clan and take up a modest duty of nestkeeping or hunting. Rhoyne would not take a permanent mate, either. Although she presented many fine, fiery females to wed him and keep the family line, he politely refused them all. Instead, he ventured further and further, only mating or producing a clutch on the road, and then continuing on his way. He has quite a brood of natural sons and daughters littered throughout the realm, though only one remains in his homeland under the careful watch of his mother. The adventurer kept a small flock of screaming tickbirds with him - leaving each natural born hatchling one, to remember their wayward father by.
Rhoyne never forgot his clanmates, though. When he returned, he would bring each of them gifts - iron ore, bones, fae wings, an exotic familiar. His mother gave him a gift in return. With a swoop of her claws, Flacara magicked an everlasting orb of fire, concealing it within a lantern.
"To guide you. A fire, from me. So you never forget us, no matter how long you are gone for."
