B I O G R A P H Y


______ Long ago it had been prophesised that the Prince of Embers would return and bring with him the uprising of the Shade and all those that follow him. Upon Donati's hatching day his egg began to crack and a blinding light shot out of the open chasms of the shell busting it wide apart until all that could be seen was the fiery light twisting and turning until it resembled a fiery vortex. Most of those who were nearest the egg had scrambled away in heart wrenching fright, hiding behind others who were larger and less afraid. The hellish Vortex began to quiver and grow in size it's intense heat scorching a large area of the nesting grounds. At its center a small shadowed figure began to materialise, the ground began to shake violently and miniature volcanoes rose up from the ground, spewing ash into the already ash filled sky. Silence fell over the Molten Embers clan and all became still, the shadow started to become more visible its outline becoming more defined, taking the shape of an imperial hatchling. The strange hatchlings fiery eyes peered out at the gawping dragons until they rested upon the magnificent forms of his parents, a voice came from inside the vortex speaking to those outside of it. "you whom have given this hatchling life, you will take him for your leader and you will keep him safe, protect and serve him well for he is the saviour of the Molten Embers." with that the vortex vanished and the small hatchling that was once inside it now sat on the ground in its place. The pail, two tone colour scales of the hatchlings body, wings and his intense fiery eyes resonated as evidence to those of the clan that he was whom the old prophecy spoke of and deemed him to exile or worse death. Both of his parents however it had seemed were the only ones to listen to the voice in the void of the vortex, the hatchling, no their hatchling was the saviour of Molten Embers and not the destroyer.


______ Time had passed and luckily for Donati his parents had fought his corner and convinced the clan that if he truly was the destroyer in the prophecy then perhaps by raising him from a hatchling to an adult, the clan could sway him to their aid instead. The clan had sat in council for many days and many nights discussing what was to be done about the hatchling but ultimately the majority vote was for him to be aloud to live and grow within the clan.

Named after Comet Donati.

Comet Donati, or Donati's Comet, formally designated C/1858 L1 and 1858 VI, is a long-period comet named after the Italian astronomer Giovanni Battista Donati who first observed it on June 2, 1858. After the Great Comet of 1811, it was the most brilliant comet that appeared in the 19th century. It was also the first comet to be photographed. It was nearest the Earth on October 10, 1858. The comet has an orbital inclination of 116.9°.
