DarkFortune was an accident. While Cherub and Celesnia were trying to help Kirk remember who he was, they were working with potions, experimenting to find a memory potion. Instead, they first made an animation potion. They tested the potion by dropping a few small drops on treasure.

A fae black as night formed. She stayed with the horde, growling lowly at anyone coming near. She saw Saberhorn and Diadem leave one day, returning almost two months later with a large amount of treasure for the horde.

She joined them the next time they left, finding herself on the sea and, occasionally, in the sky. Her joining Saberhorn's crew went unspoken when she joined them a second time.

She, ah, found a kitten it seems.
