Kelpie
pronounced "NEE-sha" Somewhat-reluctant Adventurer Naoise is not entirely sure how he ended up following a crazy pooka all across Sornieth and back again. On second thought, he is entirely sure, but would prefer not to remember it too much. Saoirse happened to quite literally drop in on a rough territory battle, apparently while trying to collect some seaberries that grew over his lake. Naoise recovered from the shock quickest and chased his rivals off, but very nearly succumbed to his wounds after. He doesn't remember what happened next, only that Saoirse was standing over him, he was not in fact dead, and there were silver cuffs locked around his wrists. When asked, he simply refers to it as The Incident, A Cunning Trick, or "I could have handled it myself." Since then, courtesy of the silver bindings, he has had little choice but to follow her in her adventures. Clever pooka. He often entertains himself with imagining the vengeance that will follow once he manages to get the cuffs off, and passes the time by conversing with his captor (as he calls her), defending her from danger, and occasionally commiserating with the luckless TorcBerry, who keeps accidentally ending up in the middle of things. Lately, though, he's begun to realize that the planned revenge has become less serious and more a game. He cringes to admit it, but he has actually grown fond of the quirky little pooka. Like many dragons of Water heritage, Naoise can glimpse the future, but what he sees is always muddled, and never comes at a convenient time. With Saoirse's help, he has begun to learn how to focus it, or at least restrain it so he doesn't get distracted by visions during a battle. The visions are clearest in frozen water, on those rare times he chooses to call on them, but they only answer when he is by her side. Naoise has begun to wonder if it is really her power that grants him foresight. Perhaps he is just the conduit.
