Lord Zurón claims not to put much stock in the past.

Whether this means he doesn't like to judge others by their history, or he is avoiding an unpleasant history of his own, or he just hated studying history as a young dragon, isn't quite clear to anyone.

Certainly, nobody really knows anything about Lord Zurón's past--even how he came to acquire his noble title is a mystery, though everyone continues to use it out of habit, and out of respect for his position in the clan. The only two dragons in the world who seem to know anything about him are his pair bond, Lady Natsuki, and their protector, Thel, but they too are silent on the subject.

What is known about Lord Zurón is that he recently left the Ashfall Waste and moved to the Sunbeam Ruins with Natsuki and Thel. His more gossipy acquaintances like to speculate that he was exiled from the Flamecaller's lands--but for what, they cannot even begin to guess at. More wild rumors surround the exact nature of his relationship with his guard, Thel, but these are whispered only with great trepidation, and are unanimously dismissed by more sensible dragons, as anyone who has ever met Zurón and Natsuki would immediately swear to the eternal nature of their devotion.

As clan leader, he possesses a careful, quiet wisdom (developed with great effort after years of wrestling with a sharp temper, which still occasionally flares up under stress). He makes an affectionate and earnest, if quiet and occasionally awkward, friend. He enjoys hot lava baths, for which he had a special pool room built beneath the castle, and is an accomplished fire mage. He and Natsuki can usually be found lounging together in their tower room, where all their most important play and study takes place.
