Rumors passed around Silvarum when Saffron arrived that she was an Exalted of the Glademother, sent to assist their Clan. The elderly Snapper knows about these stories, and while she's too modest to actually confirm them, she figures it's pretty obvious, seeing how she's turned mostly tree now, instead of flesh and blood.

Her once blue scales turned green and brown so long ago that they're almost a distant memory, but she doesn't mind, and actually enjoys it, calling it a 'blessing from the Gladekeeper'. Surely it means she blends in with the wild. The only thing that gives her away as not being a tree is the pair of spectacles perched on her nose. She still has bad eyesight - unfortunately Glademother hadn't been able to fix that.

Saffron is a very grandmother-y dragon, and all the young dragons look up to her. She has the job of keeping the eggs and hatchlings safe, and it's a job she takes very seriously - but with all her usual quiet joy and caring attention.
