He and his brother stick close to each other, barely leaving eithers sight. If they do they’re tense until the other is back. The clan is unsure what exactly caused it. They don’t act like the other is going to die if out of sight so it’s no trauma that did it, they just don’t like being far away. A bond like that is rare and from the way they wistfully look into the distance sometimes they guess that these two are far from alone. It takes ages to finally pry the answer out of one of them. It’s no terrible thing just a sorrowful prophecy that’s been handed down since their parents were born to the Windsinger. None of their children may stay, they and their blood shall be scattered to the four winds because an ominous vision had come to them. They had seen their clan prospering with many of their line and they had been happy but that happiness had quickly grown to terror when their family morphed into an Emperor and began to ravage the land. They two vowed to never let that happen and so with every nest they send them away to prevent disaster.

The two brothers had held out the longest, an entire year, before their parents could no longer allow it and threw a giant bittersweet feast of sending as they had for all their children. They’d sworn the vows to leave and even to separate from each other so that /that/ Emperor can never be. That is why they stick so close for it won’t be long now before the time to part forever is upon them and they’re making as many memories as possible to hold them until they meet again in the Crescendo.
