Biography

Prophecy is strange for a shadow dragon, not a trickster, but instead a prophet who saw many different futures, something that mainly water dragons claim. The spiral dragon lived with his wife and then newborn daughter, Oracle. His family was a part of an ice clan for many years before their clan decided to move to the plague bringer's territory. He knew it was not a good idea and tried to dissuade his family. He only saw disaster for the many non-plague dragons of the clan and he was honestly confused why they decided to migrate.
Many dragons heeded Prophecy's words, already hesitant to go to the epicenter of rot and death, but others had made their home with the clan, his wife included. Prophecy knew the future only held tragedy for him and his family, so he made his peace and decided he would stay to protect his family from whatever he must.
He could not protect them from the plague, however. His wife lost her life and Prophecy caught the illness soon after. His daughter, Oracle, was young enough at this time to be considered almost plague born and she was immune to the illness. Prophecy was slowly succumbing to the illness, unable to leave his den or even open his eyes. He eventually lost the ability to eat.
While feverishly ill, an old friend of his, Holmes, was working on medicine. Like a strange combination of the virtues of the arcane and nature, Holmes wanted to learn how to combat the plague, and to harness it. He was able to do so just in time, using the natural immunity of the plague born to create a rudimentary vaccine. One that saved Prophecy's life. Prophecy did not leave unscathed, however. The fever caused the dragon to lose his sight, which was a large hurdle for the once carefree soothsayer, now a widow and a single father. Holmes helped the spiral slowly recover and also helped the dragon raise his excitable and quickly growing daughter. Days turned into years, and the two fell in love. Prophecy always felt a bit guilty about falling in love with another dragon, but the kind and brilliant Holmes had saved his life and helped him create another family in the skeleton of an old one.
