Great-great-great-grandaughter of the North Wind

______ Cold and alone. That is all Jhalra remembers of her time as a hatchling. That's the way he found her. The one they call the North Wind. Huddled low she recalls looking up and seeing fire dance in the sky. Dark wings and green eyes, but scales afire and looking more magical light than dragon. She remembers the cold leaving her then. A soothing voice, a calm glow. The first words she would hear, "I've finally found you."


______ She woke with her face buried in a warm woolly coat. A calm hum in her ears as she cleared the sleep from her eyes. A few birds chattered at each other, and Jhalra yawned as she looked up at some tundra. The young imperial wanted to stay buried in the dragon's winter coat for a week. "Jhalra". That got her to lift her head from the green fluff of his tail. "Yes. I think the name Jhalra will do. What do you think?" The tundra smiled at her as she stared at him. After that. She knew everything would turn out alright.
