Flick's charge was a wildclaw scroll that he stole from a spellscribe deep within the shrieking wilds. Wildclaw scrolls are scarce, near to the point of legend, outside of Nature's domain.
During a tight spot with some bandits on the road he was forced to use it on himself to keep it safe and fulfill his Charge instincts.

Best keep any doubts about a wildclaw in the Old Friends to yourself.
