Jabberwocky wasn't born in Wonderland. He was born within the land of Lightning. His clan was ruthless and cruel. But, they were actually very punctual which stood to be an oddity among them. Despite these dragons being the way they were, when Jabberwocky hatched he wasn't even given a name. The baby Coatl was tossed from his clan, right off the edge of their mountain, and Jabberwocky survived. His wings were battered from the fall, and his front leg was broken. But, the baby cried for attention, warmth and food.

It wasn't his fault he was born with dark coloured plumage.

It was on a trip to see other royalty that he was spotted by the White Queen. Megrez had seen him from her flyby as she was making her roundtrip to see the others. She quickly backflipped and dived to see the black speck that was moving. As she grew closer, she realized it was a black Coatl. She dived faster before landing softly next to the baby. Jabberwocky cried and mewled as the Coatl wrapped a paw around him before grabbing him gently on the scruff of his neck. Her meeting with the other royals could wait. This baby needed some help -- and fast.

When she had reached Wonderland, Jabberwocky had been crying at that point. The baby had no idea what was happening. She set him down on the ground before nudging him with her nose. She locked his face afterward. Jabberwocky stopped crying before cooing and opening his mouth to like her. She gasped. Whatever had happened to this boy, it had caused some kind of change. His tongue was bright green. As saliva (the same colour) oozed from his mouth, it burned the ground that it touched. She nuzzled him.

"You will be called Jabberwocky."

And so, he was named. Jabberwocky grew up with the other Wonderlanders. He even found his love of fez hats. They were amusing to him. Though, his original clan's ways appeared whenever he got angry. He became ruthless and cruel especially if somebody had goaded him into a fight. His saliva was lethal. It was an acid. The others of Wonderland grew concerned of Jabberwocky. Megrez was concerned for him. So, she set him away to train --- and to become stronger. It was at this time that an intruder had invaded their lands.

A large Imperial had appeared to stake claim of the clan. Megrez and Valentine stood their ground with their army as the Imperial overpowered them. It was when he had his claws on Megrez that Jabberwocky appeared with claws out and teeth bare. The two got into a fight. A powerful fight as the others watched Jabberwocky struggle with the large Imperial. Jabberwocky wasn't all that big. But, he was cunning. It was over when the Coatl managed to dig his teeth into the Imperial's neck. His acid mouth had taken a toll.

Jabberwocky was considered Wonderland's protector then. But, he preferred to stay near the borders in case anybody else would decide to attack them. Megrez agreed to his wishes. The Coatl child that she had saved had discovered his role within the clan. And Jabberwocky took pride in that role. His roar could be heard over all noise whenever he was able to keep others deemed not worthy away. He was a majestic yet terrifying creature.

After many months of keeping the peace in Wonderland, Jabberwocky finally met his match. A beastclan raiding party attacked the farthest border, where Jabberwocky was the only defender, and dragged him outside of the boundaries of Wonderland. He defeated the horde eventually, but when he tried to head back to the lair to tend to his wounds, he found himself lost. How could he be lost? He'd traversed this terrain many times before, he could swear that the first signs of civilization should be right over there... But the closer he got to where Wonderland should have been, the more unfamiliar it became. He wandered for days, trying desperately to find the home that he had so dutifully defended, to no avail. Eventually, he collapsed from exhaustion on an unfamiliar beach, and the waves washed him away.

When he awoke, everything was blue.

Blue, rippling ceiling overhead. Blue lights cast around the cave walls. Blue eyes focused on him. "Ah, g-good, you're ah, ah, awake." Said the delicate pale snapper standing over him. She was dabbing a cloth on his arm. "W-we found - found you just i-in time, you-our wounds were getting in-infe-infected." He looked around, groggy, delusional. Everything was out of focus but the blue of her eyes.
