In a clan from far away, a dragon named Yrden found a grass-green egg while out scavenging. She immediately rushed home to hatch it, her head buzzing with excitement at the prospect of hatching herself a beekeeping assistant. Skep hatched from that egg, and grew to become a skilled beekeeper and an enthusiastic helper.

Yrden was better at raising bees than the young of her own species, although her heart was in the right place and she tried her hardest to give Skep enough love and guidance. But growing up around insects gave Skep some odd habits, such as a tendency to hum to herself while working and an intense fondness for insects. She has an avid interest in collecting and sampling different kinds of plants, keeping potted specimens carefully preserved next to her numerous beehives. A little absent-minded at times, but well-intentioned, Skep's cheerful disposition and kind nature earn her many friends despite her quirks.

At some point in her life, Skep departed the clan of her birth to seek her fortune, and came across the leader of her current Clan, Muse. The small fae, approving of Skep's good-natured demeanor, invited her to join Clan Lodestar. Skep agreed readily, and there she still resides now, tending to her beehives in the mornings and studying new breeds of plants.
