The Lady of the Lake

With her beloved sister, The Lady of the Lake lives in peace and safety within the most secluded forest. She isolates herself on the lakebed, her powers keeping the waters eternally pure and clean. Deep beneath the magical lake, she can reflect and meditate upon the world without concern. Her sister had become protective of the forest's inhabitants and assumed a role of leadership within their society, displaying traits of the reviled Queen of Shadows by having such compassion for "lesser life" as the Court would surely punish her if they were to discover such behaviour.

Over time, the two sisters have maintained a close bond and shared pain. Their grief and joy often came together, where loss of their parents and discovery of their grandfather's sacred forest had happened too close together. Memories of the outside world were vague now and certainly leaving was not something they wished to try. At least, the dear Lady of the Lake wished to stay. She was content to isolate herself from the world forever. Her sister grew restless, able to feel a sensation of dread. The Lady of the Grove dreamed of a monster.
