Revenge, anger
it destroys all yet
it must be done, such
a shame, a life has been taken

CALLAHAN ROGUE PIRATE

LORE Ironically, Callahan was born and left in the same orphanage. Blurry images of his parents remain, as they barely left him a second glance when they packed their bags and left the home they ran for abandoned dragons, to fulfill whatever dreams they had before raising a new child. Unlike his siblings, he was able to pick himself up, and maintained a positive facade among friends in the orphanage while they kept to themselves in a corner. Perhaps that sorrow was what led to others pitying them, as they were adopted one by one, leaving a bewildered Wildclaw questioning what was wrong with him. Nothing was, of course. He was confident of that. Who needed a family when you had tons of buddies to play with you! However, the orphanage was unable to sustain itself. Along with his friends, Callahan escaped from the crumbling home, dubbing the group of them a pack. With no aim in mind, he raised no arguments when an Imperial stepped up to lead the pack, happily taking the role of hunter and looter. As one of the youngest dragons, he was impressionable and became some sorts of a delinquent with these ragged dragons. When most of them were still youths, they’d be more tame and ransack stores or travelling traders, but got a little more violent as they grew. Anow matured Callahan had become well trained in battle, and was unafraid of unleashing his strength whenever. Of course, this meant he was more than just a little reckless, leading to him causing a serious injury on his packmate. By then he already had a knack of disobeying his leader’s instructions, and that was the final straw for the Imperial. The threat of a ban was issued, and the only way he could redeem himself as a productive member of the pack (was much as they were rogues) was if he successfully lead a raid on nearby orphanage.

LORE Unknown to him, they never did plan to keep the mischievous dragon with them. All Callahan knew was that they got a kick out of doing raids, and that he had to bring back enough loot to make up for the injured hunter’s possible loots, and then more. When he found himself clashing with another Wildclaw, it was already too late. Pinned under the fierce fighter, his growls turned into silence as he saw his packmates saunter off in the night sky. Callahan was not one to surrender easily, but in that moment of betrayal, even though he was never close to these ‘friends’, he gave in. His mind was blank as the Wildclaw released him. Nowhere to go, he mumbled to himself, to which he noticed his opponent nodded to idly. He was suspicious at first; he didn’t need no one’s pity. But she made no move and so he asked, albeit timidly, what she wanted, or planned to, do now. Her determination was unlike the uncertainty she showed before delivering the killing blow. It was fascinating, in fact. So fascinating that he decided to throw caution to the wind and fish out his treasures for this remarkable warrior. ‘Rogue pirates’ Sula called them, and while she was at it she would sternly remind him that they were simply acquaintances. Nevertheless he didn’t stop prodding her every chance he could, which was almost all the time given that they were sharing a ship, and he managed to get her to open up to him. He had never felt more proud of this achievement, and his joy only grew when she opened her heart to him too. When their sails took them to the land of lightning, they remained cautious when approached by a native clan patrol, but it was Sula who bravely raised the question of a making the place a home. How could he refuse? Upon starting a new life there, he made a note that whatever storm would hit them, he’d be right by Sula’s side.
