Raised to act properly in any situation, Emperor has instilled in him a strict code of conduct. He will only wear certain colors in certain situations. His bowing differentiates by minuscule angles depending on his guest. He has overcome his natural instinct of quiet in exchange for being an expert at small talk.

Still, a great politician in the making does not necessarily make him useful. Instead, he was put in charge of the hatchlings from the stolen eggs the clan hatched. He proved himself useful by calming the children and teaching them all to behave. Thus, any other hatchlings that have otherwise been left parentless, through becoming orphans from deaths or abandonment, have been left in Emperor's care.

While, by all accounts, he should hate his job with all of his being, Emperor enjoys playing with the hatchlings. He did not get much of a childhood. It's only natural for him to try and give to others what he could not have. On top of that, the unshakable trust and loyalty the kids have for and to him is similar to having a small army or kingdom. It's not much, but it is a slight feeling of power that he relishes.

Emperor rules his 'kingdom' with his mate, Monarch. They have had several of their own children together, all that have had slightly more lenient training than the other hatchlings in Emperor's care. Some have left the clan, others have stayed. Emperor hopes to continue passing down his legacy, and he couldn't have picked someone better suited to be with him.

The love the two share, on top of the perfect posture, is what truly has been passed down.
