The mysterious night flower.


The injured Pearlcatcher was found alone and lost on the plateau, exhausted, confused, and without any memories except for her own name.

The poor dragon was immobile and clutching an object so hard that her claws had chipped.
That object was her pearl - the most precious treasure of any pearlcatcher. An artifact of who she was, and the only possessor of the memories she has since lost. Though they are locked inside the pearl's iridescent shell, the memories are layered within just waiting to be remembered.

Shortly after Nightshade was invited to the clan, she began to experience odd and incomprehensible dreams distorted by foggy vision and muted audio. As she grew more comfortable in her new surroundings, the dreams also began to change, becoming clearer and ultimately morphing into short sequences like snippets from movies, comparable to the events of a past life both eerily familiar and entirely alien.

The ghost of a daydream drifts by:
An elite family of noble Imperials dressed in exquisite decorated apparel, arranged partnership, praise and jealousy, pride and pure blood... and the overwhelming feeling of being trapped.

... and then, like smoke clearing from a room, it is all gone again.
