Magic is old. It’s long spindly fingers run deep through our land of Sornieth. From the destructive Shade of history to the 11 deities which we live under. Nacht has always been fascinated with magic, his knowledge has been accumulated over years of multi-flight study. Beginning in his light home, he learned of the elegant breed of magic that the residents of the Sunbeam Ruins use. All blinding, shining and sparkling. Nacht was lucky enough to have a council with the lightweaver herself, an embarrassing affair that left Nacht in a tizzy and gave the Lightweaver a hearty chuckle.

His first stop after leaving the Sunbeam Ruins was the antithesis to his origins, the Tangled Wood, land of Shadow. He trekked through the unnaturally purple grass, unaccustomed to the reduced visibility. He soon found himself at the bottom of a very deep hole. Looking over the edge was a spiral, shadow eyes and Caribbean butterfly wings rippling behind his head. As fate would have it Nacht had broken his wing in the fall. Unsurprisingly the Spiral knew a healer and would be happy to take him there, for two things in exchange. A story and that lovely pearl ring encircling Nacht’s finger. Nacht sighed and accepted the Spiral’s help, his name was Concertor. When Nacht finally asked how far he would have to walk to get there he was dismayed by Concertor’s answer, which stated that it was just a short walk into the Viridian Labyrinth. After 3 days of walking Nacht is ushered into a cave by two Imperials and a Guardian.

He awakes to the woody, rich magic of nature. In a lair run by a two mated Imperials that go by Choilliech and Heni. His wing has yet to heal but it will, until then his journey is on hold.

But being the opportunistic Coatl he is, Nacht did not lounge around letting his wing heal. This clan, Jagged Leaf, nestled in the Everbloom Gardens of the Viridian Labyrinth. While small, housed a diverse set of dragons from many flights. There were dragons using the living, active magic that charges the ground now under Nacht's feet. There was a regal but reserved pearlcatcher using the same magic that Nacht was born, an Imperial from the Sea of a Thousand Currents, her magic flowing gently around her. One of his breed but coming from the Shifting Expanse, his magic charged with excess energy, crackling and snapping in the air as he used it to charge his contraptions. Nacht was surprised when he met the resident metalworker, a Tundra of all things! According to the multiple books, Nacht had read back home Tundras were dragons of the Ice Flight but the beautiful work of this tundra could do stunned Nacht even more so than his Flight. Agnimukhas magic cracked and popped but still flowed over the metal like an ethereal spirit, turning it bright red. In this little Nature clan, he could study ninety percent of the Flights. This place was a wealth of information.
