Biography

Malphite
rock
Shadowscale Helmet
Black Tulip Flowerfall
Shalebuck

Malphite had only felt the coldness of the caves and the chains that bound him. For the first time since he'd been reborn, he experienced the heat that burned in every inch of his underground prison. It had an aura around it as if the light and warmth were trying to take hold of him, to make him a part of its world. Malphite could feel his eyes tearing up from the warmth, but the black dragon didn't want to look away. There were many different colors that danced before his eyes; reds, pinks, oranges, and yellows. They surrounded him like fireflies, but they didn't hurt at all.

Then, he saw the source of the heat. A glowing ball of light sat on top of a small pedestal. It radiated with so much energy that even looking directly at it made him uncomfortable.

"What's happening?" he murmured, reaching out a claw towards the light. Curiosity and intrigue drew him in, but something deep within him wanted to leave. The heat was too intense for his liking, and there was something else—something deeper about the ball of light—that kept pulling him toward it. But before he could move, the ball started to glow brighter. Suddenly Malphite couldn't see anything else.

The black dragon fell into darkness once more. Only this time, it wasn't his own. The darkness he now experienced was much darker than anything he could ever imagine. He could barely breathe in such a place. There were no sounds or feelings, and his very existence seemed to be just another dark spot in the endless void of nothingness. There was no end, not for Malphite, nor anyone else in the world.
Then, as quickly as it had begun, the darkness ended. The black dragon found himself again, standing before the pedestal but there was no light left to see.

Desire bubbled in his chest, clawing its way out and pouring down the sides of his mouth. He gnashed his teeth and struggled against his bonds, tearing at the walls that entombed him.

Light.

That was the only thing he wanted.

And that was what he would get.
