You look around your den. You see the other dragons murmuring among themselves. You approach your friends, but they look away and talk lower. Then you look up. The leader of the den is talking to authorities, and you listen, but you only catch one part. "Auction my fodder." You start to panic. But then you think, "No, it is not me. My parents were the starters of the den- I shouldn't be worried." But then they take you away to the auction house. You protest, but it is of no use. You wait for a day, and someone buys you. Hope, so you think! You spend an hour looking around your new den. Then, a messenger comes and asks you fly with them. You trot outside the den, and fly out. After some time, you ask, "Shouldn't we go back?" But the messenger shakes their head and brings you to a new den. You are greeted and stay for a whole week. "Maybe they want me," you think. You are finally able to breed and are waiting for a new mate to start the breeding process. However, you hear those same dreaded words. "Auction..." You protest and start shooting out magic bolts, but they just take you away. You then realize the point of dragon life. You are born, and live in a den. Then, you are either given away, auctioned, or exalted. Sometimes, you would stay, but just have your leader leave and never came back, leaving you to starve. Being given away or auctioned will just start the process over again. But you know they are all the same. You would be taken from your den again and again. And now you know the truth of this world.
