Beep loves to give gifts.
Sometimes the gifts he gives wriggle, squirm, bite or ooze.
The other dragons thank him for his gift, and release it when he wanders off, beeping as he goes.
He's a little strange.
But what's stranger is possibly his love for rocks. In fact, he tends to push dragons and familiars over to get to the rocks they are standing on. His his experience, the best rocks are the ones that are being stood on. He never knows what he can find under an Imperial dragon! Beep is not, however, rude. He's just the sort of dragon that forgets that manners are a must when in new lands. While he does forget his manners sometimes, he is mostly forgiven because no matter how angry someone is with him, most can't find the will to punch him when he's holding a new rock he found with a look of joy in his eyes. Sometimes he'll gift the dragon whatever insect or animal or detritus is under that rock. Sometimes he'll start crying. Over a rock. Yes, he is very strange indeed, but his passion is what makes him interesting. As a geologist's assistant, he wants to know if something is in fact a rock. Most of the time it is, but sometimes it isn't. Still his passion is what leads him to new lands and is what lead him to follow Hawthorn. Beep rather liked his love for rocks and began to tag along without permission, until the two decided to travel together as an actual band, not just Beep following a few feet behind Hawthorn and tripping on his tail.

Generally speaking, he could be one of the best scientists in the world, but he much prefers studying rocks and collecting them. Sometimes throwing them if they lied somehow. His passion for rocks take over anything else. He has no desire to go looking for his birth clan, as he doesn't really care. He was born around rocks, that all he needs. He also doesn't have a desire to find a mate. If he does, that's great! But his main passion is finding pretty rocks to add to his collection and exploring caves and lands that may have very interesting rocks in them. The best way to get his attention? Rocks. Some dragons would call him very odd and a little loose in the head, and they won't be too far off, but Beep doesn't care. He has his rocks and his friends. That's all he needs.
