Biography

wind_rune_20.png Second Chance Boot Camp Cadet wind_rune_20.png
Rank: Mage

Clans I've trained with:
  • Celesol (EXP: 83853, simple copper necklace)
  • SylvrFox (EXP: 591,425, Rally, tanned rogue wing guard)
    (Shadowind: 3 Scholar, 1 Discipline, 1 Ambush, 1 Aid)
  • pensandink (EXP: 740,464, Alchemist Eyewear, Brass Steampunk Gloves, Heatherbed Lily)
  • ArashiiNekkyou (EXP: 1,363,652, Aqua Birdskull Headdress)
An independent spirit and a gifted techno-mage, Wailele chose to leave the Shifting Expanse early on and travel the world to share her talents with other clans.

It wasn't too long before she came across the Second Chance Boot Camp Academy, who had been looking for a mage such as her. She found that she liked the look and feel of the place and chose to enroll in order to enhance her skills.

Celesol's Clan: My stay here wasn't long, but I made a good friend in the Clan's resident scientist, Sinless. He brought me on a tour through the Golem Workshop - between the both of us, the machina were far too strong for us to fight, but Sinless knew all the paths and turns to keep us safe. It was a great learning experience - he showed me how even the smallest spark of lightning, if conducted correctly, could make automatons splutter to life with a will of their own.

He even brought me to his workshop and show me all the clockwork monstrosities he dissected down to husk and wire.

While there, he gifted me with a heavy choker make of solid copper. Sinless told me it would help me learn to conduct my lightning. He seems to be right. My magic seems to obey me better now.

When I leave tomorrow, I must remember to thank him for the gift...

SylvrFox's Clan

Monday
Dear Diary,
I've been in Makani Haven a few days now and can you believe it? There's another dragon that has my name? To make things worse, he's in training too. Don't get me wrong, he's very nice, it just gets so confusing. I think it amuses Yin no end. Wailele came up with his own solution today and started calling me Sparks because of my interest in machina. I rather like the nickname.

Dear Diary,
Training has consisted mainly of the Mire with Healani and various different dragons training at the lair. Everyone here is super nice but Malkier comes closest to sharing my interests. He's actually got the most interesting familiar. He let me tinker with it to my heart's content. Apparently it was made for him by a group of friends and they did a good job but they weren't experts. I made some minor improvements to its intelligence and dexterity. In appreciation and as a way for me to practice what I'd learned playing with it he let me use the stuff in his shop to build my own. Talk about fun! I managed to get it done just in time. I leave tomorrow.

pensandink's clan:

This clan recently moved to the Twisting Crescendo and I got to help a couple of their clan build a massive wind-powered ship! It was so interesting--building familiars is awesome, but a whole ship is another matter entirely. They only had a couple of other Lightning dragons, but between us, we managed to scrape together something that will probably hold until they get a professional out to redo the whole thing.

I'd never been to the Ghostlight Ruins before, and it was definitely an experience! The head trainer, an aging Mirror called Remix, knew next to nothing about magic, but there was a selectively mute Skydancer called Reaper that taught me--entirely in charades--how to weave my lightning into arcs that slammed across each other, forming a trap of arcs. Her own magic trap was made of writhing purple goop that dissolved into shadow as soon as she released it, but the principles remained the same.

ArashiiNekkyou's clan:

Dear Diary,

The next step in my journey was, in terms of distance, a small one. It took only an hour to touch down in the midst of the Shiro Kaze clan. A guardian and fae were waiting for me and I'm pretty sure the fae was about to say something when he was mowed down by a golden blur. This little gold Nocturne came out of nowhere and just trampled him! I braced myself to be suddenly in the middle of a clan-wide scuffle but- to my surprise- everyone just laughed! This Goldfinch is clearly well loved by her clan. She and her mate showed me around while we waited for the clan's small group of hunters to return.

They made an impressive sight when they emerged from the reeds. They were battered and eerily silent -- even Goldfinch fell quiet when they approached. Their eyes fell on me through their birdskull masks and I felt myself draw back a step.

Goldfinch ruined the effect by laughing at my expression and jumping on the back of the large female Imperial who was revealed to be my old friend from Academy, SeaMist! Apparently it was SeaMist who recommended the clan register with the Academy. She helped the clan build up their fighting skills and, in return, they adopted her birdskull as a uniform for the clan's hunters.

They even had one waiting for me.

Dear Diary,

My time with the Shiro Kaze clan was absolutely amazing. I felt so much a part of the team. We took on a large training group of new recruits en route to a battle against Earth, and SeaMist actually let me help her train the cadets! I was so nervous at first, but after just a couple days of working with the newbies made me realize how much I've learned and how far I've come. I feel so confident as I begin the next phase of my journey. It's back to the Academy for graduation and then on to my permanent station!

I'm sad to be leaving my friends here at Shiro Kaze, but I know there's so many more adventures out there waiting for me!
