The Caretaker

When a young Tempus first arrived at the Shattered Plains, she came upon a newly formed clan that consisted of only three members; its founders, Teju and Jagua, and a newly hatched Mordaine. Originally, she had only planned to stay with the clan for a short while; a season at most. Offering her protection in exchange for a comfortable lair and three meals a day? A bargain in her books. Imperial dragons were rarely seen at the Shattered Plains at that time, and the presence of one was more than enough to ward off any potential threats. Despite her initial unwillingness, Tempus's duties ended up extending to babysitting Mordaine and training her in the coliseum, forming a strong bond between the two.

Nearly a decade later, Tempus found herself unable to leave the clan, even after Teju and Jagua relinquished their rule and went into hibernation. Nowadays, she spends her days caring for the hatchlings at the nursery and having afternoon tea with Mordaine, trying to convince the latter to retire from her position as head trainer.
