Azzuro was born with severe cataracts, causing him to become blind very quickly. Because Azzuro is blind, his other senses have been heightened, and he recognizes things by their scents and voices.

As a hatchling, his father, Halo, worked with Pitchario to make a comfortable veil for Azzuro that grew with him and soothed his eyes. He was also given tons of attention, being the younger twin of Dawnblue and, of course, being blind. Halo adored him and Cyberdust loved how obedient and loving he was. Dawnblue, of course, hated him for this (she hated him less and less as the years went on, and now the two are actually pretty good pals, often reminiscing on how stupid both of the two were as hatchlings). She played rough with Azzuro. Rough rough. She'd often bite him, scratch him several times in a flurry of swipes (often resulting in several cuts- some of which got infected), or move fast enough that Azzuro got so confused when trying to find her that he bumped into EVERYTHING- trees, other dragons- you name it! Despite all this, Azzuro still loved Dawnblue, and hoped she'd change. This leads into something else...

Azzuro was a very lucky hatchling. Besides the several miracles that he survived all the torture being done upon him by Dawnblue, he often got what he wished for (for example, Azzuro wished for Dawnblue to change and his wish was granted). This 'ability' isn't always a blessing, though. Being a dumb-ish hatchling, Azzuro often wished for things that he didn't know were bad. He once wished he could see. That made his vision white and completely blind- not just partially blind. This is when he was given his veil- at the young, innocent age of 4 years old (before he just wore a relatively uncomfortable bandanna). Nobody knows why the wish made Azzuro's eyesight WORSE, but some speculate that it wasn't clear enough, so whoever granted his wish must have thought he wasn't blind and wanted to see beyond our world. He once also wished for his brother, Cyberlime, to have a good life and study hard. His wish went wrong when Cyberlime became OBSESSED with study, and had almost no time for anything else in his life. This caused Cyberlime to become depressed because he felt there was nothing to do in life. Nothing to love, nothing to enjoy. His mindset had been altered to 'if you study, life will become amazing, everything will be right in the world, and you'll live forever and have a great life and sunshine and rainbows everything will be AMAZING!'. This slowly morphed into 'STUDY, STUDY, STUDY. IF YOU DON'T YOU AND EVERYTHING IN THE WORLD WILL DIE'. A few months after Cyberlime had last been seen outside, his starved, dirty corpse had been found laying in the Arcanist's lair (he was a good friend of the Arcanist, and he'd gone off to study with him about a year ago). The Arcanist said he had died from overworking himself and was going to prepare a grave as soon as he could.

Now Azzuro is a sage, and, along with Platina, helps foresee events that could possibly damage the clan.
