Biography
Cytherea is a dragon who holds a strong sense of etiquette and politeness, coming from a royal bloodline built upon generations. She was originally part of the Clan's jurisdiction which ruled with an iron fist. Her life became shambles when her Clan, once high and mighty, crumbled. Without the Order of the court, she was unused to life from the outside, where foreign dragons with their vastly different culture made her confused and slightly disgusted, having known no other way of life besides her own. However, she was forced to adapt to the new changes in her environment, not nicely, and struggled to live as a clanless dragon.
On her lonely ventures, she had nowhere to go, for she had no knowledge of the outside world. From there, Cytherea was forced to defend herself whenever she encountered territorial Beastclans, wandering aimlessly. However, despite struggling to survive on her own without the protection of a Clan, she refused help from any who confronted her, believing that doing so would only make her low. Little did she know, she was denying the harsh reality and was still thinking in the Court Order's old ways.
It was only that she realized that she was struggling because of her inability to accept her fate. So, upon arriving to the next Clan, the Swift River, she swallowed what pride she had left, sought help and was brought in. At that time she was able to fend for herself; however, she was unable to cope with the loneliness and the despair she had felt since her Order had crumbled. She was, indeed, a capable warrior at that point, but only due to being forced to be one to survive.
Temporary shelter became a permanent residence as Cytherea met Gloom, a mysterious Guardian who reminded her of former court life. Though initially put off by what appeared intimidating, she was engrossed in playing cards and was pleasantly surprised to find that it was also his favorite pastime. Despite appearing gloomy and pessimistic as his name was, her further interest in him allowed her to decide to finally stay.
Despite being a seasoned warrior, Cytherea still has the fight or flight instinct. She will flee from any battle when she has even the tiniest bit of doubt that she can’t win. In the present, she is the designated sentry who avoids combat at all costs, an irrational fear buried deep inside her that will remain forever.
Though she has good intentions, it may have not been for the best when she was swayed by the Dealer's Circle.
