Biography
Rigaudon
Cloud Physicist | Aerial Acrobat | Stargazer
Born of the water, with the essence of the Lightweaver and the Arcanist flowing through his veins, it wasn't difficult to turn his gaze to the sky. The two worlds, after all, never felt that far apart: they were always mirroring one another, shifting and changing with each other's moods.
He enjoyed the freedom at first: bursting up out of the water, and spreading his wings at the last possible minute, soaring up with just a few short wingbeats. He could go from one depth to another, from the Leviathan Trench straight up and through the clouds till he could barely breathe and falling back to the Sea.
As he grew, and he stretched himself further and harder, he kept his love of flying, his obsession with the air, but his focus changed. He would hover for as long as he could and watch the clouds move. They changed as they moved across the face of the Sea, gathering together and pulling apart, seemingly of their own accord. Sometimes it was the wind, sometimes it seemed to happen in spite of the wind. It fascinated him.
No one in his nestclan had ever studied the clouds before, and though he searched through the old archival records, there was very little to help him along. There were mentions, here and there, of great storms, or great stillnesses; droughts and monsoons, but no one seemed to have questioned why.
Burdened with curiosity and determination, there was only one thing he could do. He said farewell to Ista Weyr, and set out in search of a clan who could help him study the clouds.
