"Beetle is an odd creature. He represents a bit of a quandary amongst his kind. While dull Coatls are shunned for their plumage has faded with sickness, Beetle's hide is a rich, deep black, dull in its near unvarying tone but puzzling in its vibrancy. However, with a second glace, it quickly becomes apparent that his plumage and scales indicate that there is something else about him.

No noise ever erupts from Beetle's throat excepting that of the rare chirp or whistle, sounds more like those of birds than of Coatls. His preferred diet is that of the dead and decaying and is not particular about species. This particular habit, much to my flattery and my disgust, means that you often receive 'gifts' that, while completely sincere and well meant, are vile and slimy and have an odor that strongly indicate that it had been sitting in a puddle of its own goo for several days.

Now if you'll excuse me, I must go and bathe. Beetle has taken a liking to me and as a token of friendship has dumped what I sincerely hope was an onion at some point in quarters last week. It has long since been cleaned up but its scent still clings to my scales."
