Biography
Oberon was the only Fae dragon in his lair for a very long time. Born from a discarded egg, he never met his parents or benefited from interactions with his own kind. Although he had a childhood companion in his eventual mate Taz the Tundra dragon, he still suffered regularly from communication problems with other dragons due to the unorthodox ways which Fae display emotion and body language.
As Oberon grew and became more experienced in social interactions, he eventually began to recognize some markers of emotion in other species of dragons. He also developed a strategy to lessen this communication barrier by simply explaining his emotions and intent to the dragon he is conversing with. If the other dragon can get past the awkwardness or offense caused by his detailed explanations and often brutal honesty, as well as his expectation that other dragons express themselves equally clearly, this tactic is reasonably effective. Other Fae dragons tend to see him as eccentric if not irritating, as even in the company of his own kind he cannot seem to stop explaining things. Despite his sharp tongue and sometimes strained relations with other dragons, Oberon still strives to be welcoming to other dragons and, along with his mate and their son, helps new dragons get settled into the lair. He and Taz also work on the clan's insect-catching and plant-gathering committees.
Bonded to: Runic Bat, Peacock Firebird, Mock Firebird, Silver Springbok, Downy Fox Rat, Fungalhoof Qiriq, Ultramel Amphithere, Lesser Wisp, Wooden Marionette, Greybeak Reaper, Irregular Nekomata, Sorcerous Arms, Wasteland Collector, Travelling Garden, Silky Fanrat, Dustfeather Sphinx, Blotched Quetzeel, Lap Pupowl, Iceridge Warrior, Pet Roc, Armed Flight, Sorrowsnow Bulemoth.
