 AMAZON  Guardian of the Land (Birthplace: Wind Flight; Gen 3)  Amazon is the only hatchling of Pan and Autumn, the second rulers of the Clan of Doors, to remain within the clan. Since her three siblings, Morava, Rhine, and Siene, went to live in the Earth flight, she is in line to be the clan's next leader, so long as she proves herself worthy. As a youngster, Amazon enjoyed roaming the highlands of the Windswept Plateau day and night, listening to the gentle buzzing of the Autumn Pennants and learning about the different species around her. Her parents often worried that she was becoming too obsessed with the wilderness - each time she would leave to wander, Pan and Autumn grew concerned that this would be the day she would not return. But Amazon always came back. And as she grew older, Amazon began to share the knowledge she had collected on her journeys with the rest of the clan. She began to go on all of the clan's hunts, showing the hunters and gatherers of the clan just how much to harvest so that there would be enough food for years to come. Primarily, her focus was to teach others in the clan to respect the highland species and to realize that there are only a limited number of these creatures and plants. Though it took a great deal of time and patience, everyone, even Ulthir and Iris, came to respect the lives of the species of the Windswept Plateau. Amazon now continues her work by spending her days traveling through the wilderness, helping to clean up polluted areas and to heal injured creatures. She also keeps track of the population sizes of all the species of the area. While Amazon highly values her time alone, the arrival of Feyrn changed her perspective. He shared Amazon's affinity for long, quiet walks across the highlands, and soon the two became inseparable. They sometimes speak quietly to each other, but often prefer to simply convey their thoughts to each other through subtle glances, which they both can understand well (even if others cannot).
