Biography

Uh-oh, looks like Mistral wandered a little too far from his lair (217132, HorsesRCool), and now he's off to see the world! If ever you feel the urge to exalt, he'd really appreciate it if you could just return him home instead, or to the 'Dragons Off To See The World' thread, here.

Unlike his sister, Mistral had difficulties getting into the clan. Shy in nature, the animosity of the clan leader toward other male of his species left a cold breeze between the two. However the rest of the clan showed a great support which made him feel accepted. Always staying behind his sister, his thirst for adventure is not any less strong than hers, so its with joy and excitement that they get ready to continue their adventure as spring arrived and the lair started to fill with hatchlings
The next clan Moon and Mistral visited was full of other siblings for them to meet, all of whom were eager to make them feel at home. They soon became friends with Limu, a young Guardian whose brother had gone missing, telling stories of their past travels. Mistral sat and watched while his sister went off beachcombing, instead spending time with the clan leader's youngest child, Xi. Both were calmer and more reserved than their outgoing sisters, and enjoyed having some quiet time to just relax before Mistral and Moon moved on to the next stop on their journey.
The siblings continued their journey south, to the Windswept Plateau. By some inexplicable miracle, they stumbled upon a small flock of Zephyr Dancers who really preferred not to be found. Their leader, Ilyana, was sceptical, but her daughter, Chunfeng, convinced her to at least host the two for a night.

While his sister chatted with the vivacious Chunfeng, Mistral found himself gravitating towards the Skydancer's solemn mate, Furukawa. The Zephyr Dancer tried to strike up a conversation, but the two ended up sitting side by side enjoying each others' friendly silence.
The two had a choice to make. They could either fight the winds that surrounded the Windswept Plateau or they could continue South. The decision was made when a huge gust of wind blew them towards The Southern Icefields. This worried them both since they had always heard that Ice dragons were a little on the frigid side.

The two happened to stumble into a clan meeting being led by a Nocturnes with wings that held the stars. Sealbriyi was curious of the newcomers and was always willing to allow travelers a few nights stay in her clan. Mistral caught the attention of one of the clan's members, Spiritrunner. But she had just laid a nest with another male and wasn't feeling up to the challenge of having more offspring to watch over.
Moon and Mistral returned home eager to tell their friends and family of their adventures, at lest Moon was. The two thought their adventure had come to a close but as the months turned to years they realized they were not happy staying in one place too long even if it was home. It was
then decided they would set off on a new journey knowing they always had a place to call home.
They ended up at an eccentric inn in the Southern Ice Fields. Moon seemed to come alive with all the dragons around them, the inn filling her with energy. Unfortunately for Mistral, it seemed to have the opposite effect. He felt drained and tired with all the dragons in the room and found himself gravitating towards the solemn innkeeper, Frostbite.

Frostbite told him the tale of how he had earned his battle scars and Mistral listened in wonder This mirror had a tragic beginning, but had managed to rebuild his life from the ground up, Mistral admired that. Frostbite offered to give Mistral some combat training, to prevent any tragedy happening to him or his sister on the road and Mistral found himself agreeing.

For the first time in his life, Mistral had to stop and consider just how dangerous travelling could be and he began to wonder if they had made the right decision by leaving again. But, seeing the joy on his sisters face when she shared a story with a new dragon eased his heart, he was still nervous, and didn't tell his sister about his harsh new training or his worried thoughts for a few days, but he knew that as long as they had each other, nothing could stop them.
They decided to go someplace warmer next. And what could be warmer than the Viridian Labyrinth? The Great Forge, probably, but neither of them needed to warm up that much. They found lodging in a little village near the foot of the Behemoth, the kind of busy, boisterous place that Moon loved.

And it was all the more boisterous because it was getting ready to celebrate the Mistral Jamboree, the festival of their home flight. Mistral (who endured a lot of tired jokes about his name, that week) couldn't help getting caught up in the festival atmosphere a bit, even if he slipped off to their room at the inn every night well before Moon did. It was nice to be able to buy Wind Flight delicacies from food stalls all over the market, and hear Wind Flight music everywhere he went. There were even groups of dragons traveling to the Windswept Plateau, but Moon and Mistral passed on that; they were here to see the Viridian Labyrinth, after all.

Moon took care of that part; she made friends with a Snapper who gave them a walking tour of the clan's territories for free, chatting about her own travels the whole time. It was interesting. It was pleasant, and secure, if also very hot and very busy. Mistral almost told Moon no when she suggested moving on, or asking her to wait, but the open sky and a breeze in his fur sounded better the more he thought about it.
The next place lair Mistral and Moon visited was a small shadow lair, where dragons of many diversities called home. A noticeable feature of this group of dragons were the beautiful stars many of the dragons had littering their fur and scales. One in particular, a yellow-bellied Nocturne named Reign, was quite finicky of the newcomers and made their stay comfortable; even introverted Mistral didn’t seem to mind her. This dragon, who acted like a she was their mother, informed them this was the first time they’d been visited by outsiders.

Throughout the trip the older dragon told and showed them many things, but their stay soon came to an end. With a heavy heart, Reign said goodbye to the siblings, wished them well, and could only hope to see them again.
Mistral met a pretty tundra by name of Fate on their travels and during their stay in her lair Mistral found himself with his first clutch of eggs. A complete accident, but Mistral didn’t want to leave Fate in the dust. Moon was willing to wait with him since he wanted to help Fate get settled with the nest before they took off again, but Fate was experienced and confident enough that the two were encouraged to simply go on their way.

Mistreal and Moon's story on Alligator Clan

As the two departed from the clan which Mistral had started a family, they found themself flying over the desert of Shifting Expanse. The weather was treacherous, winds, dust storm, but worst of all desert lightning. Finally they found themself flying over a huge castle and decided to look for a place to land. As the two landed in front of the castle door, a female mirror approached them. "What is the nature of your bussiness?" the mirror asked. "We are travelers of Dragons off to see the world" replied Mistreal. "Have you checked in the Lightning Flight Embassy?" asked the mirror. "Lightning Flight Embassy?" asked Moon. "Listen you two" began the mirror "We except travelers of the thead you two are from, but you must first check in the Lightning Flight Embassy. Now, if you two would be so kind to show me your passports, I will escort you to the Lightning Flight Embassy" After verification of the two dragons identity, the mirror escorted the two dragons to a building which looked like a huge lightning rod attached to an arch shape cave. "My name is Taylor" replied the mirror "Mistreal, you will be staying in suite 4. Moon you will be staying in suite 7." The two had never been separated like this before but this was going to be a new thing for the two.

Mistreal's story of Alligator Clan

Mistreal had just checked in her suite in the Lightning Flight Embassy. Surprisingly everything was cozy and there was room service and personal care takers everything fit for a king yet she was just a visitor. A standard of the windsinger was given to him at the door and he was told to wear it during his stay at the Embassy. There was a brochure near his bed which had the names of every dragon of high rank and where they lived in the castle. He could call them and arrange a meeting at any time. Then he saw there was a banquet this evening welcoming all travelers and the instruction to RSVP. Mistreal decided it would be nice, so he RSVP ed. That evening Mistreal met up with Taylor at the entrance to the castle. "Welcome to the capitol" replied Taylor " Then the mirror punched a button. "HeavenLee, I have Mistreal at the south entrance. " the mirror said. "Door opening" a voice came over the loud speaker. Taylor escorted Mistreal down a hall. On the wall stood a picture of every dragon who had lived in Alligator Clan including visitors. As Taylor showed Mistreal her picture, she found out that Taylor was the former leader of Alligator Clan. "This is my daughter" Taylor pointed to a picture of a black guardian in fine green silk and wearing lots of gold jewelry. The dragon's name was HeaveLee. "I am so proud of her" Taylor continued. As the two continued their way into the royal dining room, there was a name tag in the place where Mistreal was to sit. a few seats down he saw his sister's name tag. One by one the rest of the dragons showed up. Next to him sat a fae which the tag indicated his name was Bushlight. to the other side of him was another tundra named Montague. Across from Montague was Moon and across from him was a bogsneak named Lightning. Other than Bushlight and Montague, they were all Wind Flight dragons. The other two were Arcane dragons. At the head of the table sat a Female Guardian who Mistreal easily concluded was HeavenLee. As Supper was about to be served, HeavenLee one by one introduced every travelers. The two Arcane dragons were from a clan called Mavenlark, but were not traveling together like Mistreal and Moon. Lightning was from Windflight Clan. Not much was on record about the native clan of Mistreal and Moon but the last clan they lived in was a clan which Alligator Clan called Tide Clan although that was probably not the actual clans name. Mistreal told his story about Fate and his four kids he had to leave. Montague, Bushlight and Lightning all questioned why he left his kids. His sister defended him at first by justifying that it was not exactly his choice to leave her until the matter was suggested that he should pay Fate 40Kt in child support (10Kt for each kid) Moon suddenly agreed with the other travelers. HeavenLee did not feel it was within her jourisdiction to order such a thing, but she made a deal. If he paid the 40Kt to Fate in child support she would send a request to Tide Clan to send one of his kids to Alligator Clan to become a Traveler. The part that Moon did not like was HeavenLee ordered her to deliver the passport to Fate. After that the brother/sister relationship between the two sort of became more and more distance. They were living in separate suites at the Lightning Flight Embassy and had never been so apart. Finally, the day came for them to leave Alligator Clan. "I guess it is time for us to leave now" said Moon. "No" retorted Mistreal "It is time for you to leave. You got me into this and my passport allows me to stay here until my son arrives." The two argued for a while until HeavenLee eventually had to come to the Embassy to break them up. Finally, Moon turned and left without Mistreal for her next journey.

Mistreal's story of Alligator clan after Moon left

It had been a day since Moon had left. Her suite in the Lightning Flight Embassy was empty and cleaning was being done. When the cleaning was done a sign was put on the door with the words reserved. Mistreal had been in Alligator Clan long enough to know that when they put signs on the door like that it meant they were expecting a traveler. He wondered what clan this visitor will be from. About 90% of the visitors in the Lightning Flight Embassy came from the Dragons off to see the world derg and most of the time the clan did not know anything about the dragon until it arrived, but this was an exception. The dragon's name was on the door and it was a Tide Clan dragon. No dragon had ever visited Alligator Clan native of Tide Clan that he knew of, That same day an announcement was made that Alligator Clan was expecting not two but three visitors from the DOTSTW derg. Although clans have taken as many as two visitors at a time, Alligator Clan was about to make history and become the first clan to take a trio. So he figured that his sister's suite must be for those traveler. Atleast one for Alligator clan gave each visitor their own suite even travels traveling together got their own suite. As the the trio of travelers arrived, two were lightning flight dragons, one was a light flight pearl catcher. The one that was interesting was Goatly, one of the lightning flight dragons, but most of all none were Tide Clan dragons. Tide Clan was a Water Flight liar. Goatly, was a female fae and she was also affiliated with the Heard and still looking for her first mate. Zikul was her home liar. The way Alligator Clan considered her was she was a dragon with three affiliations: Zikul, the Heard, and Dragons off to see the world derg. Later that evening, Mistreal decided to check out his sisters former suite. The first thing he was going to check out was the name on the tag of the door. However, when he went to the address of the suite, the door was open and Goatly was there. She almost caught him off guard when she said "I guess you must know by now." The tundra had no idea what she was talking about. "I know this clan is making history" said Mistreal. The fae shook her head and took a deep breath. "Have you seen the name on the door?" asked Goatly "This is not my room, I am here to prepare it for the next visitor. And one more thing. I almost for got. This is for you" She handed him a water damaged letter. The reading on it was smeared and most of the writing had letters that was faded, but he was able to make out most of it. The letter read the following:
Quote:
Hello Papa, mama says im going to be a grate travelrr lik you when I big and storng. Mama want me to say thank you for the chilren Sapport monies. last nite I got a big salde wih yumy apples. Sinseerly , EddiO

After finish reading the letter he looked on the door and the tag read:

"RESERVED For EddiO of Tide Clan"

"MY SON IS COMING!" he bellowed "I KNEW IT, I JUST KNEW IT. THANKYOU HEAVENLEE!" He rushed to his suite and pulled out a pyramid object used for recording messages. On the recording he said the following.
Quote:
Dear EddiO, my son

I want you to know two things. First of all, I got your letter. It was a little smudged because it was water damaged and the water washed some of the ink, but I was able to make out most of it.I guess Goatly must have traveled through a rain storm with it. Anyway, I was visiting the suite here at the Lightning Flight Embassy where travelers stay. I actually got to visit the suite which this clan has already reserved for you. It is actually the same suite you aunt Moon stayed in when she was a visiting traveler here. I really think you are going to enjoy being a traveler and this clan happens to be one of my favorite clans which I have visited. The food is great, The dragons are friendly and very well mannered and I have to tell you the liars in the Lightning flight Embassy are nice. The only think about this clan is there is always something going on. They have their own University of flight which I am currently taking a few classes and like a typical lightning flight clan, they are into technology which brings me to this device I am using is one of their inventions. It is called the box. I will show you how to use it when I see you. It is not a place where a dragon that like quiet places would like. Anyway I look forward to meeting you my son.

And also the other thing. Your mother cooks one awesome apple pie.

After Mistreal finished the recording he tapped the tip of it and the box disappeared.

On April 23, 2020, Mistreal finally completed all the classes he need to graduate and received his diploma and after graduation, the tundra forgot that his son was scheduled to visit Alliator Clan and punched his ticket to go to the next stop on his journey.
