Biography
The highly localized dialect found in Clan SedAhrkMen is a direct result of long periods of isolation and the highly impressionable nature of the dragons in residence.
Notable characteristics include: the slurring of words together, strong punctuation of syllables, the treatment of nouns as other parts of speech, and accompanying gesticulation.
The tendency towards extreme gesturing in conversation developed as a way to more easily convey the meaning of what is being said.
The degree to which dragons speak this way obviously varies from individual to individual. Most speak this way with each other, but can transition into a more standard way of talking when meeting with dragons from outside the clan. A good number are only slightly effected by the regional dialect as a result of either coming into the clan at a later age, having a strong accent of their own, or just being relatively uninvolved with other clan members.
There are a few dragons, however, who are unable to speak traditional draconic and therefor have a hard time being understood by foreign dragons.
