༻ Dalila ༺
She was visiting Plague once more, and only to be polite. Her Nature parents had directed her here before she was exiled... Exiled for wanting to travel away from home. It was considered dishonorable and rude for a Princess to want that, so she was kicked out of her home. She hated the Plague escorts that took her to and from their tented city, thick and swirling with hot disease. Dalila had exited the largest of the tents and received her escorts; they were muscled, long-snouted and horrid. She flinched away from them naturally but they did not seem to notice. They continued their pointless and endless flirting, and she hung suspended on a tarp as they brought her to her last stop. It was a little shop where you could buy water, and only water. It seemed that they were having a nasty drought in Plague, and little bottles of water was all that they had... They seemed to be protected with tooth and claw, as the owner of the shop looked intimidating. She was a big dragon, and had dappled scales like a koi but dappled in a way that it looked like... overlapping mold, crawling over her body uncontrollably. It disgusted her, if she was honest. She flared her nostrils while the dragon spoke to her, but even her breath made Dalila's whiskers curl. The Princess nodded blandly, and couldn't want to escape from this hellhole. She jumped slightly when a different dragon emerged from under the stall. He was all blue and gray, but had the red glittering eyes of a Plague dragon. This surprised her... She didn't know a Plague dragon could hold beauty. Call her simple-minded, call her ridiculous, call her someone who disrespects other Flights... But you can't blame her, after seeing all the infected dehydrated dragons limping around the streets. He got kicked by the shop keeper, and before she could protest the escorts started hurrying her away as fast as they could. The more heavily muscled one looked as if he was angry with the blue dragon, and walked in a way with his wings out suggesting that he wanted to protect her. They had gone a ways, and she still hadn't forgotten about the blue dragon... It was like something that happened to you in a previous life, and won't go away. It stays at the back of your mind and always nags at you, and you spin around and around trying to pinpoint it but it just won't ever stay still... You spin until you become dizzy, and you search until you become insane. But it never goes away. Looking behind her sadly, she didn't have to squint to see him. A dust cloud had rose up in a roar like a bucking horse, and he arrived before her. Her escorts looked down on him and growled deep in their throats, the noise reminded her of a ticking bomb. "Are you from Plague?" She asked hesitantly. He really didn't look as if he was from that place. "Yes," he panted in response. A rose blossomed in her chest. This was a dragon who didn't care where he came from; he didn't care if he came from the darkest, most disgusting streets in the world. And he was still proud and brave enough to approach a Princess. He was confident in himself and not in a totally snarky way either. This was her Prince. Delila can trace her family to the first generation of Imperials in Sornieth; however, the progenitors of her royal line (and especially the family that comes from the pair Renthys and Nekura) are manipulative and sly. Only half of her relatives (breed change or not) are still living. This sweet and flowery girl has been pampered almost all of her life. There is no obstacle in the world she can not face down because she has never had to face an enemy who would not yield to her. "Defeat" is the most foreign topic to her. There's a split opinion on if her impenetrable ego is her greatest strength...or if it will become her greatest weakness. |
