Born to the beginning of a chilly spring, Cinnamon has always possessed a love of all things cold. He thrives between heavy snow and the light aroma of well-grown roses, especially red ones. If he can’t have one, he’ll certainly have the other, and he’s been known to weave roses into his nest – but only the variety without thorns, of course! During the depths of winter, he’ll cast spells on ice sculptures sent from the Southern Icefields so they don’t melt in his den, and those decorations last until early spring, when he can finally cultivate flowers from the surrounding forest to bring color and sweet scent to his home again. When he was younger, it was a tactic he used to try and attract potential mates, but now, old habits die hard, and he simply loves the chill of the ice against the heat of the fireplace along with the aroma of roses.

Besides, Cinnamon is quite happily married. True, it’s a long distance relationship, but he couldn’t be happier with his dear mate, who hails from the Icewarden’s distant domain. Finding her was a mighty task, he likes to tell the hatchlings who come to him looking for stories of true love. He searched high and low, near and far, seeking out a dragon who would love to live their lives entirely together and yet leagues apart. He sought adventure and an amorous connection alike, and over the course of a long few months, he met many dragons that took a temporary hold over his heart. It was PumpkinSpice and her sweetness, though, that finally brought his search to an end. Their love was tentative and careful at first, but the moment Cinnamon realized that she was the one for him, any and all shyness was gone. He proposed in a simple fashion, offering her a letter of love and a shimmering ruby ring that she immediately accepted.

Since then, their affair has been an interesting one, filled with many letters and gifts sent by courier all the way across Sornieth. Pumpkinspice has a talent for finding beautiful landscapes from the mountains of the Southern Icefield, and frequently sends watercolor paintings to Cinnamon for him to decorate his lair with views of winter. In return, Cinnamon recruits Fern and Maple to help grow flowers vibrant beyond compare to send to his sweetheart across the world. The bouquets vary, but he reliably includes a cluster of red roses at the very center.

Since their marriage, PumpkinSpice has visited Dragonhome only once, but together, she and Cinnamon raised three hatchlings before she returned to the Southern Icefield once more, taking with her a small fragment of the nest Cinnamon built for them to share as a way to keep him near even when apart. One nest has become two, and two hearts one, just as these two romantics like it.
