Hedwig was born to Eil and Angel, while the clan was living in the Wispwillow Grove. She was a rambunctious hatchling, exploring everything she could get her little head into. Even as a hatchling, though, ae showed an aptitude for flight and an impeccable sense of direction. It didn’t take long for her to begin begging her father to let her help him by delivering messages, and he eventually agreed. Ae’s become one of the best messengers in the Tribe, which both aer parents are extremely proud of.

Hedwig’s very empathetic, always willing to lend a hand and she hates to see others in any kind of pain. Ae comforts those who need it however they need, be it a silent presence or a loud distraction. She's very loving towards her clan, often touching someone in someway: hugging them, leaning on them, landing on their shoulder. Ae’s also extremely loyal to them, willing to stand up to others far bigger than aerself if it’s in defense of aer clan.

While in the air, she is the picture of grace. On the ground, however, ae is constantly finding new and creative ways to fall on aer face. Landings are the bane of her existence, with at least one in three ending with an injured wing. It’s gotten to the point where ae just carries bandages in aer messenger bag for when ae inevitably injures aerself. As for while she’s in the air, she has an impeccable internal compass, and is easily able to find where she is and where she needs to be. Ae flies quickly, but takes time to have fun with it on the way. Hedwig is known for doing intricate tricks and flips while en route, though these tricks sometimes end with her in a tree with a newly injured wing.

"Oof." Hedwig thought. "Why does my head hurt so much???"

Hedwig opened her eyes and found herself in a strange, strange place. The comforting sights, sounds, and smells of her lair in the Wispwillow Grove seemed to be replaced by a warm fire surrounded by ice, sounds of strange music echoing off the walls of the chamber, and the smell of a warm stew and every type of tea imaginable.

"She's awake, she's awake, she's awake!" Hedwig heard a hatchling exclaim. Before she knew it, she was surrounded by friendly, cozily dressed dragons.

"We found you unconscious outside the lair entrance." Said a mulberry imperial. "My name's Arcada. Our clan leaders, Soumrak and Svitanyi are out at the moment, so I'm in charge. Where did you come from?"

"I'm from the Wispwillow Grove. I was out on a routine scavenging mission and must have gotten blown off course. Where am I?"

"You're in the Southern Icefields! The Cloudscape Crags, to be precise! We've been tracking a huge weather system, and you must have gotten caught up in it. You seem to have broken your wing, but you're quite welcome to stay here until you recover."

"I... my wing?" Hedwig said. She flexed both wings, and sure enough, a sharp pain radiated from her left wing. The movement was impeded, however, by a well-engineered splint. "Thats... Thank you so much. I really appreciate it. When I'm rested, does anyone know how to get back to the Wispwillow Grove?"

"Oh! Ginny just left for there on an adventure. She said that a friend of hers needed help there. She shouldn't be gone for long, and she can tell you the way when she gets back!"

Content and well taken care of, Hedwig let herself be taken care of by these friendly folk. She couldn't wait to get to know each and every one of them, but for now, it was time to sleep.
