-History- Quora is really a sweet little thing, in contrast to her chosen mate. In fact, the couple is more of an amusing one; Mistralfrost will be throwing magic projectiles at anything that gets too close to him, while Quora will run off to cuddle a fluffy something-or-other. Very entertaining. Despite the contrasts though, the two work very well together. Mistralfrost is in a sort of denial about the relationship, never talking about it unless prompted to, and when prompted he just shrugs and kind of grumbles to himself. Quora doesn't mind though; being so understanding and lenient, she always gives him the space he needs and occasionally helps out with his spellwork. Quora has always been quiet and soft-spoken, and was one of the few dragons to join the Fortress by practically sneaking up on everyone. She didn't mean it though; she just "didn't know what to say", and was full of giddy energy that made her tail twitch comically. Why she wanted to join? Well, apparently she was wandering from the Shifting Expanse, having chosen to leave her clan to seek a new one, and suddenly Mistralfrost caught her... ears. I mean, let's face it, you always hear that dragon before you see him, and crazy laughter and ominous threats are very hard to miss, especially when echoing down a canyon! According to Quora, she followed the sounds before coming across Mistralfrost, Frozenmist, Firetalon, and the new recruits Icelake and Snowsheet fighting with another clan at a border. Considering herself too fragile to fight, she simply watched at a distance until the fighting subsided and the two sides decided to leave it alone. She then tagged along behind the Frostforge party until Firetalon spotted her and called her out. You would think she would be embarrassed about it, but apparently not. Rather, Quora took the opportunity to fully greet the dragon band, before nuzzling Mistralfrost and making him the embarrassed one. Frozenmist thought it was hilarious. The other recruits didn't know what to make of it. Firetalon just rolled her eyes. "If that's you saying 'I'm coming with', then get in line," she had ordered. Quora was thrilled; she was already accepted into a new Fortress! After learning about Flamecaller and the Fortress's history from Bloodcrackle, Quora became intrigued by the method of exaltation to benefit both the Fortress and the deity; and, as much as she had attached herself to Mistralfrost, she wasn't keen on leaving anytime soon. So she decided to stick around, making herself useful by helping Bloodcrackle with his priest duties and exalting her own hatchlings to the cause, anointing chosen Paladins with a bath of fresh embers and a symbol of wet ash on the forehead. While the ceremony wasn't exactly necessary, it did seem to boost the confidence in the young dragons, and since then she has been the Fortress's Anointing Priestess. -Extra- April Fool's 2016  (Starry-eyed.) |
